I took a party of 14 friends to celebrate my 60th birthday recently. We all had the superior rooms and all my guests commented on how special the rooms were. We also booked a table for 14 on the first evening and were delighted to find that we had our own private dining room.
The staff were all very friendly and efficient and the food was delicious especially the made to order omelettes for breakfast.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I look forward to my next stay.

Nice rooms, but Key is outdated, modern Hotels have Keycards. Very good Breakfast. Wifi by Mobile Phone Number Registration.

Zero flexibility for cancellation of reservation, very expensive parking lot compared to Bamberg average, unfriendly staff and food without any refinement, just local kitchen with simple cooked vegetables, potatoes. Overall price /cost relation bad.

Politeness and courteousness in every factor of the Schloss Residence. The young ladies at the reception desk were helpful and made me feel as family. Especially the girl who handled the check out on departure day.

The dining was wonderful; the breakfast buffet with the best cooked bacon; crispier than any other hotel I've visited around the world and especially the dinner for five with my local relatives that we enjoyed the day before my departure. My son and his wife held their wedding reception at the Residence 29 years ago.

The hotel is fine as well as room. However the trouble we had in finding a place for breakfast on October 2 was terrible!!! I am often in hotels all over the world but I never had such a situation!!! This has to be substantially improved. Due to that very bad experience and only due to this, I cannot recommend the hotel.

We have come already twice for a short stay in this hotel and we like specifically the friendliness of staff. The historic building is very charming, it has only one drawback: there is no air condition, so it can be quite warm in summer. Leaving the windows open at night helps a bit but then you will here some traffic from the street.

Breakfast is very good, the hotel in general is well-kept, we can recommend it.
