  This pub is a cultural establishment in the Südvorstadt, so it is definitely worth a visit. There is always a lot going on (meaning food service can be slow, especially if you come on a Monday or Tuesday when the pub quizzes are running). The service staff are always friendly and helpful.
  On the good side, the food is very tasty and, while most of this establishment is smoking areas (the back room is non-smoking), the ventilation is excellent.
  Where Noel's Ballroom loses stars is the slow food service, the fact that they cannot make a decent Black&Tan, and the prices. Beer has shot up in price in a way that is not in keeping with Leipzig salaries. I'm fine with the food prices, but I find it shocking that I can't get a simple beer for less than €4.
  
  Noel's Ballroom is definitely a good place to get a feel for how the Südvorstadt lives and breathes.

  The food and drinks were good, but if you don't like smoke you will have to fight your way to a smoky Room or 2 before getting to the non smoking area

  Great food, but due to its popularity it's hard to get seats for groups and waiting time for food was very long. The staff were very friendly though, and I had a great time regardless. :)

  Burgers are awesome, but we waited like 1:30 hour to get allowed to order ( Saturday night) , got the food in more than 2 hours after we arrived.

  Really like this place. Quirky, irishy pub, but doesn't confine itself to Irish music if that's what you're going for. Friendly service, and up until the last time we went, excellent food. Last time we got a deviation from their usually delicious burgers, but unless it's a repeated occurrence, we'll still be going back.

  Good ambiance with a non-smoking section and very awesome ceiling covered with Irish whisky bottles and boxes. Beer selection could be better and typical bar/Irish food options.

  Well, I'm sad that I have to add a negative review to all the positive ones. First the good things about this place: its got the typical Pub atmosphere, nice selection of beers and all the members of staff I talked to were very friendly. Now the (BIG) downside: beer's incredibly overpriced! I paid 9€ for 1.5 pints of beer (that's about a litre), plus 1€ of tips makes 10€! To compare, the average pint in London (which we all know is an expensive place to be) is about 4,50€. It's just a rip-off and even the best atmosphere (which unfortunately comes with a lot of cigarette smoke) doesn't justify this.
  
  In summary, I really liked this place but when the bill arrived I wasn't amused, to put it the British way. What a shame!
