After reading the reviews my wife daughter and myself went for a meal.it's a very cosy and friendly atmosphere. The food was freshly prepared and piping hot. I had the Jaeger schnitzel as did the wife truely delightful, my daughter had the turkey again delicious. The beer keeps coming until say no more. The waitress was very helpful. Make sure that you are hungry before you go as the portions are generous. Enjoy

Lovely food and one of the better tasting kolsch. We went at lunch and was lucky to get a little table for 2. It's alittle way out but worth the journey

One of the more authentic experiences I've had in Germany. Packed with locals sitting almost shoulder to shoulder, yet great service that keeps the beer flowing (until you tell them to stop) despite the crowd. Food could not be faulted for the low-range prices.

The best meal we had in Cologne!

Really, really delicious food, served in big portions. Had the sauerbraten - flavoursome, tender meat, nicely balanced with the dumplings (very nicely done) and fresh apple sauce.

Friendly staff, who also speak English which is a massive bonus for travellers. Tons of locals, and a very comfortable pub atmosphere, although can get a bit noisy at times (which was okay with me).

    Some vegetarian options available.

    Definitely recommend!

Great atmosphere, good beer and classic German food. We found it very busy and had to que for a table, but given the beer that's no hardship.

True German flavours: one of the best Schnitzel in town, old school German decoration and great service.

Typical german restaurant with schnitzel und kölsch. If you want to go at night you have to reserve a table!
