The convention hall looks great and all employees were very friendly. It was a nice evening with a lot of dancers. I had no room in this Hotel, I was just a guest on a ball there.

This was a very long and important trip for me,and while scanning the area around the Düsselsdurf airport for hotels i asked at the reception of Maritim for a room just for my overnight stay as i was leaving the next day. At first they told me it would be 199€ including breakfast, and they would provide a storage room for some heavy luggage i had, after i finished what i had to do and came back to book it was 169€ WITHOUT breakfast (that would now be 24€ extra per person) and the luggage (broken down dog crates) would have to be put IN MY ROOM. I was confused and when i pointed out the difference to the lady she rudely shut me down with a ''Do you want the room or no?''! As i had no choice so late at night and knew no one in the area (not to mention the fact that people around the airport seemed unwilling to help me navigate my way around, most of them were rude and didn’t speak any English or so they said) i said fine and booked the room. When i arrived in my room i noticed there was a dirty glass of wine in the refreshments section (red wine was not in my mini fridge so i assume previous tenants drunk it and housekeeping didn’t bother to collect it). My room was missing important in my opinion toiletries such as q-tips, disposable toothbrush & or toothpaste (as my stay at a hotel was not programmed for my trip these would be very essential for me), cotton puds, and other personal hygiene bits and pieces you expect to find in a hotel bathroom. All in all a bad experience during a long tiring trip.

I stayed here during a business trip in October 2017. Immaculate hotel, friendly staff & quiet given its at an airport.
To get there is a 3 minute walk - simply walk to the end of the airport, go up to the top floor & there is a skypath; given I arrived very late at night it was a welcome feeling not to walk among the dark areas of the car park & the people I could see loitering in the shadows.
Not much more to say as I didn't use the bar nor restaurant.
Only 4 stars as the welcome went from excellent, to warm the moment the clerk noted I used a website to get an excellent, reduced rate on my room.

I stayed 2 nights there during Messe Fair. We paid 350€/room when the hotel does not worth more than 50€.
Breakfast was awful. They had two options 10€ or 24€/person. Bakery was not taste and they barely had good variety

The only good thing that airport is right there, about 150m walking distance and also they have a bus stop for the fair.

    I would not go back

    Good hotel by the airport.
    Breakfast is good.
    Good bars for drinks.
Doesn't have shuttle service to the city.
Internet is super-slow even for sending emails. Reception claimed too many users but it was throughout my stay.
the staff are very helpful and polite.
    Clean rooms.
There is a good area for shopping behind the hotel.

Nice hotel with modern rooms, good room service and friendly staff.
    Bar and restaurant recommendable.
The location is great for people coming from or to the airport, to go to the city center you have to take the train or a taxi

The hotel looks amazing since you arrive at the lobby all the way to your room, everything is crystal clean and shiny. Nice finishes and great idea to put several restaurants in the entrance hall for you to choose from.

    You have:

    -German restaurant
    -sushi restaurant
    -Italian restaurant

Couple more places to eat as well but never been there. So many options for you to choose from.

The lobby has around 5 receptionists so it's quick to check in and check out.

The ceiling is made of glass panels, so the place is super bright with natural light.

    Time to places around:

-Literally 5 minutes to get to the departures gate in the airport.
-5 minutes to the airport super market "Rewe" (very decent prices, close to any competitor supermarket in the city).
-you'll find a rental car company to hire a car directly in the lobby: "sixt".
-trains to the city are at 7 minutes from the hotel, just exit the hotel and turn left. Go straight and to your left you'll see an underground passage. That'll take you to the trains.
-parking is directly to the left as you exit the hotel.

The hotel has a sauna and a gym also a pool.

    Great breakfast absolutely.

    Negative aspects:

I like being comfortable when I go to a hotel and not having a

    1) choice between firmer Pillows (the only one available is super soft and gets squashed so feels like there is no pillow)
    2) small blankets, narrow let's say, I woke up several times to put it over me as it fell off on either side
    3) amenities lack tooth brush, slippers, bathrobe, body lotion. Could be better. Such a good hotel should have these amenities in my opinion.
    4) no entertainment channels in English, only news.
    5) breakfast was good however they never cleared anything and our table was a mess.
    6) Internet is close to sufficient.
    7) Rooms are spartan, essential. There isn't anything fancy.

Overall, I would recommend this place only if you have to catch an early flight the next day. I wouldn't plan spending here a holiday or more than one day.

Comfortable and decently appointed rooms, restaurants with reasonable prices and tasty food, a very comprehensive and delicious breakfast buffet, and great noise-shielding from the airport (didn't hear a thing!).

My friends and I had our flight cancelled so we were forced to stay in Dusseldorf one night. Was very happy that the hotel was close to the airport. Very comfortable bed, nicely furnished lobby and rooms. Really friendly staff. The dinner was average, but the breakfast buffet was very good. The area outside / around the hotel is not very nice and could be improved.
