Overpriced. Mostly arrogant staff who obviously believe they are "designers" and as such "sales" (or even customer service) is beneath them. Or perhaps they just look down on people who don't dress up before entering the store, so better make sure you don't drop by on your way from home depot while in the middle of some renovation work.
Unfortunately one of few places with a large selection of designer furniture and lamps. The quality used to be better, though. Ground floor is mainly kitsch.
They don't want you taking photos in the store, so I guess they have something to hide.

Ich liebe es. Manchmal halte ich auch einfach nur zum Gucken an. Hier gibt es alles was das Einrichterherz begehrt. Die Preise sind allerdings auch ziemlich hoch. Aber trotz alledem gehe ich selten mit leeren Händen raus

Discovered Kontrast as we were walking about Hanauer Landstraße and very glad we stopped in. Modern furniture, interesting office desks and lighting. Unfortunately we couldn't buy the larger items for they wouldn't fit in a suitcase ;)

I was looking for beds in the smaller Kontrast that has mostly beds. The offer is quite good. One star is gone, as the employees managed to ignore us for 20 minutes, basically all the time we were in there, even though some of them were free.

Lovely and sometimes extraordinary furniture, quite pricy for some of them. Really friendly and supportive personnel.
