I began at the Karstadt sports building (4 floors) and found an underground passageway to the Karstadt across the street. The basement level has groceries and each floor above has anything you could possibly need. For tourists, they have Düsseldorf souvenirs in stock on the ground level.

Karlstadt is really trying hard with more UK brands than any other location in Düsseldorf, the supermarket downstairs has a great variety especially if one is looking for International food or healthy alternatives.

Well there has been a long time since I have bought something from there, but this kaufhaus is slowly recovering, and this is visible. Worth of visit if you do not have a particular reason to go somewhere else.
