  I really wanted to like this place. Somehow I manged to misread that there was no food on the official website as one of the reviews mentioned it was pasta heavy.
  
  That aside we arrived early with a group of 8 hoping to get a meal (no) and a collection of wonderful cocktails and wines (maybe).
  
  After a few drinks orders were asked for, there were far too many no we don't do that in contrast to the sure, we would love to do that for you. We asked for a few classic cocktails and a basic wine list.
  
  Service staff leaned on the bar, barely looked around as they appeared so engrossed in their own conversation, it took one of our party to get up and ask for service. It was roughly 10 minutes later that we were attended to.
  
  We left after the first few band warm up songs were played. Which were actually great. We just could not get comfortable with the service. Sorry perhaps I will give it another try with lower expectations.

  This is probably my all time favourite bar in Munich.
  The music is great, ranging from classical piano jazz to jam sessions and latino dance jazz. A little bit of something for everyone. The cocktails are very good, I dare to say maybe the best in Munich and the prices are fair.
  What this place gives a special charm is its owner Thomas Vogler. You can simply feel his good energy and friendly aura whenever you visit.
  This place has additional value for me since I took my present wfe to our very first date there. Now we visit on regular basis and also try to take our guests to the bar.

  Amazing place. Small, but cozy and not over crowded. Extremely friendly owner, nice staff and great, reasonable priced drinks. Oh and the musicians are definitely best in Munich. Come here for a splendid evening with loud enough but not too loud music so you can dance and have a romantic evening.

  Nice music and atmosphere. We went there on Monday. Music starts around 21. It would be better to arrived half hour earlier and get a good spot. After 21 it was quite full.

  Fantastic jazz bar in the heart of the city. Talented musicians and fun atmosphere. Gets really crowded on weekends, and people also dance and sing with the band.

  Excellent little jazz bar. Keeps the music loud enough to hear but not so loud you have to shout. Great drink prices. Pretty much all u want when you want a drink and some good jazz

  Best of jazz music you will ever be able to find Munich-wide. Only highly professional international musicians performing 6 days a week (Monday -Saturday).
  
  Very central, minimal entrance fees, great and cosy feel-good atmosphere, candle lights, high-quality drinks, reasonable prices, attentive, friendly service.
  
  A private club run by just one person who won't accept any support by any authorities, probably in order to keep out any external influence.
  
  I've been going there for almost 20 years now and haven't been disappointed ever.
  Hopefully this unique treasure will still be there in 20, 40, 60 years' time.
