Pleasant hotel, good location, clean, with friendly staff. A little dated, but still very well presented.
The Hotel rooms are really budget rooms. They are small. Smelled of cigarets. I would not stay here again.
Very friendly staff. Rooms are quiet and comfy.
Awful service. In the best case as good as a 3star hotel. Although reserved long time ago, I got a room which smoking was allowed there. Awful everything smell as smoke, the reception lady told me that just open the window and the weather change!!! Could not sleep all entire night, even pillows smell full of smoke. Windows also open to a bus terminal; from early in the morning it is so loud that
Good hotel near train station. Is not a problem with train sound or other sounds.
Okay-hotel. Very practical location.
On hot days, you will have the choice between closed windows and heat, or open windows and noise
Service is very friendly and rooms are nicely-sized and clean.
Really hoped that they have improved their quality in general.
Location: excellent. The closest hotel to the Erfurt Hbf. It's impressively to connect to Eisenach 30' on IC or Weimar 13' on IC!
Front reception: nice but English communication can be challenging. The staffs did not know much about recommendations to local attractions unfortunately.
Noise: pretty bad day and night if your room is on street side and leave the window open for circulation (no a/c) even just the top part.
You can hear clearly the street talking, taxis' idling and cars passing by. I'm sure that you'll hear train passing by if you stay on train track side.
Room: size is adequate. But the bathroom is very small and box-shower-room is even smaller. It didn't show on the website.
Wifi: free but very very slow and didn't work more than half of the time.
Transportation: free city tram ticket which is excellent for exploring Erfurt.
Room Price: it's too high without including the breakfast. It's very expensive to buy breakfast (15€.) it's easy to get the coffee and morning sandwich under 5€ by the hotel with many selections.
I had to pay twice to stay in this hotel! I booked and paid through a travel agent but had to pay again because the gentleman on the counter early in the morning when we left insisted that we had not paid, even though they had a voucher which said it had been paid. Probably this happened because of the poor understanding of written and spoken English by the person who checked us in and again the gentleman who checked us out. Although a fair hotel for a 2 star standard it was not worth paying twice for.
