Breakfast is great, the hotel provides free maps in the lobby, rooms are clean and tidied up every night, and the location is great. Only five minutes from the historic center of town. A great stop.

Schönes Hotel in sehr guter Lage. Parkplätze mehr als rar, selbst im "hoteleigenen" Innenhof. Leider ist das Hotel etwas hellhörig, deswegen meinen Respekt an den Herren im Zimmer neben an/über mir - seine Freundin und er haben das Hotel gut "unterhalten" 😂

Eine angenehme , freundliche Atmosphäre, sowie Zimmer als auch Rezeption, mit sauberem Sanitärbereich, einziger Punkt, der zu Mängel führt ist der mangelnde platz, für autos zum Parken, aber dafür könnte man ja mit Bahn usw. anreisen. Aber allgemein, super.

Me and my family stayed at this hotel during our family trip last June (2014) and occupied a total of six rooms. The hotel itself has some potential, even though it doesn't have a special atmosphere it doesn't seem as old as the name might suggest and it's fairly conveniently located, just a 10 minutes walk and you're in the old town.
Unfortunately though the customer service (or staff for that matter) is close to non-existent. the reception was often empty and a contact person seemed hard to find at times. When we were lucky enough to meet someone, they didn't talk more than the essential and seemed quite bored by us. No further hospitality was given other than passing us the keys and I've felt more welcome in many $30 hostels I've been to.
The breakfast "buffet", if you'd choose to call it like that, was very limited considering the price for the rooms. Sadly not only choice and quantity (everyday we had to find someone to re-fill the rolls or milk or something else) were limited but also the quality of the food. One day the milk was bad, then the scrambled eggs were not seasoned and dry, the bread lay there in a plastic bag it was bought in and seemed of low quality.
However pretty ordinary, the room was generally okay and clean enough when we moved in but it was never cleaned during our stay and toiletries weren't refilled so that I had to go down to the reception again to get additional toilet paper. The only signs of human existence in our room was when we found new towels one day which were just thrown onto our bed. Besides that we paid the same for all six rooms but the one we stayed in was smaller than the, had no fridge and oven+burner like the others so clearly was a different category room.
They messed up our bills using different rates for some rooms which were in the same category with different breakfast rate as well. Then for one room we only paid one night instead of three. After recognising this I went back to pay the two extra nights but there was no excuse nor a thank you from the reception guy. Common! I just saved you EUR120 man!!! That gave me the rest.
Before posting this comment I also did send an email with above points to the hotel management, hoping they would take the chance to give some explanations, maybe even an apology, just any sort of service recovery really but I never received anything back from them.
