We recently stayed at the hotel and had the pleasure of dining at the Biergarten and restaurant. The Biergarten was very well maintained and the beer was fantastic. The restaurant was a culinary experience. We enjoyed a 3 course meal on our first night. We loved the intricate presentations and the wonderful service. On our last night we went to the restaurant for some wine and dessert. Our server delivered the most delicious looking (and tasting) ice cream. He was attentive to our needs and made us feel very welcomed!

The hotel rooms were well maintained and the bathrooms had been recently updated. We were upgraded to have our two rooms together (both Junior Suites). The concierge helped us with taxis and dinner recommendations off property. The idea of keeping the key at the hotel was easy to get used to and a different concept for an America tourist. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I stayed here in 2004 and, once again in May 2017. There has been some remodeling of the bathrooms during the interim which was a nice improvement. Overall the stay was pleasant and with good, friendly and helpful service at the reception and in the breakfast room. Good value. I was not really there to watch television, although the Giro and Monaco GP were on. The television was outdated technically and HD would have been nice, but, it was functional and I was able to watch the sporting events. Enjoyed the Beer Garden one evening for a meal and a stein of lager.

I was actually pretty disappointed with my dining experience. We had guests visiting from out of town and we wanted to try this place out since it looked really nice from the outside and the menu posted on their website looked quite good. It was Karlfreitag so we had called and made a reservation in advance for lunch. We arrived there and were handed a completely different menu with their "Karlfreitag Fish 3 Course Menu" being heavily promoted. Keep in mind, this is lunch.the price for the Fish Menu was 60 Euro per person! Once the waitress learned that we were only ordering the single entrees, she wasn't very friendly or available afterwards. We ended up spending upwards of 90 Euro for 4 adults, which is on the high side for lunch in Munich. I wasn't impressed.

Aesthetically great! Inside and outside looks really nice. Unfortunately the service, food quality, and price was well below our expectations for lunch.
