We stayed at a very confortable suite, with two spacious rooms. Attentive service and a very beautiful hotel. Great location, very close to the main attractions. Strongly recommend!

Very nice hotel. My wife and I were impressed with the bedroom presentation. It was very clean and we'll preserved. Nice view and very close to the city's Hauptbahnhof (5 min walk). It resides in the middle of the Altstadt, so you can reach lost of the main attractions by foot. The front desk was polite and very helpful!

Had such a nice stay there! The hotel is privately owned, so the staff really cares about you. Each room is individually decorated so each stay is a new experience! They somehow learned it happened to be my birthday so got an upgrade and a small bottle of bubbles Would definitely stay there again!

Absolutely lovely hotel. I stayed here as part of a group taking part at the Mozart festival.

Staff was super helpful and friendly - especially the young man working at reception. Due to severe travel woes, we arrived at a completely ungodly hour in the morning. He was welcoming, offered to cater to our needs in terms of a snack/drinks in as far as he could and advised as to where we could get something to eat. Due to the hour of our arrival, none of us took up the offer of welcoming drinks, but after our concert, he extended the offer once again, and we thoroughly enjoyed his company and hospitality.

The breakfast was SUPER!! Again, staff was friendly and helpful and the choice of food absolutely amazing.

    Thank you for your hospitality!!!

Perfect place to arrive in Würzburg. The hotel lies central to all sight-seeing locations and the service has been exceptional

Very nice and comforrtable rooms and ok breakfast. The location is great as it's in the middle of the city, i.e. everything is in walking distance.

Excellent stay in March 2014. The room I had had a fantastic layout with much more space than an average chain hotel and well appointed. The most impressive thing was - I guess because it is a true "private hotel" that a couple of odd requests were just sorted out, with impeccable service. So for a busy business trip that ability to offload certain tasks and rely on the result is fantastic. The downside as someone else mentioned is the drunks in the platz can be a bit noisy - fine with the windows properly shut but it means making sure it is not too hot before going to bed. Overall highly recommended.

    Check the history
This was the hotel A. Hitler would lodge when he'd visit Würzburg. The majority of the Nazi rallys and ceremonies were held at the Residenz' grounds in front of the structure. He also celebrated his 50th birthday at the Residenz. Aside from that bit of "gee whiz" info, this is an absolutely beautiful Bavarian city. I was stationed about 45 min. northeast in Schweinfurt for 3 years. I also had surgery at what used to be the U.S. Army hospital close to Leighton Barracks. This hospital was turned back over to the Germans in 1990.
Wurburg hosts some really great festivals year round.

Friendly and efficient service, rooms reasonably spacious and well equiped e.g. good beds. biggest problem is that rooms over the main paedestrian precinct are very noisy - even mid-week the screaming drunks were out until 5am! Rooms are stuffy and hot without windows open which makes sleeping impossible. Breakfast for €20,- pp is outrageous. Go to Kaufhof (€3-4 and much better food!)
