close to public transportation, room comfortable but a little small, we were there for Christmas Markets, as expected it was cold and snowing, but every time we came back to the room, the heating had been TURNED OFF and the window OPENED WHY?? consequently it was COLD and took a while to warm back up.
breakfast is nothing special, continental as expected, but just ok, cold scrambled eggs, barely warm tiny hotdogs style sausage, cold meats and cheese, fruit and cereal, yoghurt, few choices of bread, three goes round on the toaster to get toast! instead of warm bread, juice, coffee, and tea.
Despite being located In the very busy area Kurfürstendamm, the hotel was quiet. Decent service, and we were able to check-in 2 hours before scheduled. Restaurant in the hotel, and showers, fitness room, sauna and massage room on the floor below. WiFi was a bit unstable, and the shower and the lock to the bathroom in our room didn't work
Room was fine. Reception staff fine. The problem was being called to the room at 7.46 in the morning by a member of staff in Spanish requesting I come down immediately to settle the bill. Check out was at 11. The tone and motivation of the call was as if I were to run. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying for business or leisure. Night receptionist in general was rude and very unwelcoming also.
We stayed here for 3 nights and found the room very comfortable other then there was no air conditioning which made our room stuffy.
The check In desk was terrible they where slow and came across quite rude and not very helpful at all.
For the price we paid the hotel wasn't worth it. It's a 3 star hotel with 4 star stickers on the wall. I do not recommend.
The hotel in general is okay, but definitely not on a 4-star level! Feels like it has been a really nice place in the past, though.
It's a lovely old building, good reachable by public transportation, and employees seem (I write "seem" since we had not much contact to them) to be nice.
Downside, and reason for the 2-star-rating: One of the mattresses of our double bed is worn out, so a really comfortable sleep isn't possible. Also, the bathroom facility (towel rail, makeup mirror, and shower wall) are broken.
We had a special deal, so we paid 70 €/night instead of 210 €/night, which is okay but we wouldn't come here again, I think. Especially since there are other hotels, that are better and cheaper.
Das Zimmer hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen, aber die Betten und die Sauberkeit waren sehr gut. Freundliches Personal. Alles in allen nichts zu beanstanden. Lage ist einfach super. Direkt am Kudamm.
Average hotel with classic taste. Quite old furniture and elavator. Cozy as well.
The hotel has a slightly creepy vibe in a positive sense. The desk clerk was entertaining and dealt with waiting guests in a humourous and Kafkaesque way while figuring out why my reservation was not in the system. Rooms are spacious but the Minibar was empty. I luckly did not book breakfast as I was able to reach multiple delicious breakfast locations in the immediate proximity of the hotel.(I saw the breakfast buffet and it is not worth it, any of it). Can recommend.
It was a great hotel right in the middle of a very busy street the rooms are very clean. It is only a short walk from the train station and right next to an underground station so getting about in Berlin is easy. There is a couple of nice bars on the doorstep to have a drink and there is 2 Lidls in an 2 minute walk away I would recomend it. I did enjoy the Kebabs and Currywurst which are right on the doorstep.
This hotel can't be considered a 4 stars hotel..personal is very rude and if you book via booking they are totaly useless. asking infos sometimes and they said "I don't know maybe is better you ask someone else" . The guy who works there at night was sleeping and I had to ring 4 times to make me open. Not including he didn't even said "I'm Sorry". only good thing there is location. STOP. avoid at all.
