Best gym in Berlin. Anyone who says it's crowded has obviously never trained at other gyms before and should consider buying a home gym if they can't tolerate being near other humans. The sauna is full sometimes, but so is every sauna in the world at peak hours. Should they build another sauna because the 3 they have are not enough? Ridiculous. The staff are friendly, the place is clean and the equipment is enough to get a good workout. Anyone rating this gym as 1 star is a) some sort of princess used to a private gym or b) has never trained before and has unrealistic expectations

Extremely crowded, plus the Sauna and pool area both smell rather bad most of the time. All in all an extremely stressful and impersonal place that is not very clean. I go there because I need to swim every day and it is the only pool near my house. Allas I can only go late at night, because at any other point during the day it is so absurdly overcrowded, that you have to share a very small lane with 3 to 4 people, wich means you get hit in the face and the back accidentally by other swimmers all the time. That makes it virtually impossible to swim fast of do any kind of sufficient swim training.

Extremely crowded in the pool and sauna areas. Pool is being shared with outside clubs and courses for kids! Most of the times you have to share one lane with 3 other swimmers. The sauna is so crowded that people have to sit super close to each other. Elbow touching guaranteed. This gym is disgusting in many ways. Not to forget the unfriendly and disrespectful employees!

If you're okay with the high price (25€/entry without membership) it's a good place. Virtually never any wait at most machine, well equipped, trainer always available if you have any question. Mix sauna, hammam and relaxation room. And women only sauna

Great Pool. Locker rooms + Sauna/Steam room are nice. Good machines, not enough variety in my opinion. I'd love a hack squat machine and some plate weighted pressing and pulling machines. Free weights are ok, grips are a little small. Only one squat station. Cable machines are not the best. I also wish there were pull-up stations in front of a mirror somewhere. Oh, and some decline free benches would be nice. Those are my complaints, but the gym has a nice vibe, and for the most part everyone is pretty nice and respectful. No loud music, so living in headphone land is pretty great. I enjoy coming here!

I was looking for a new gym so I stopped by Holme's place to ask if I could look around. The lady at the front desk was very rude to me and told me that I wasn't allowed to look around and that I would have to wait half an hour for one of the employees to show me around. I asked her if I could literally just look around for two minutes because I have better things to do than sit there for 30 minutes doing nothing and all I wanted to do was see what the weight room looked like and she still said no. They already have tons of bad reviews on here and yelp saying their employees are rude and now I see what they mean. There are a plenty of other better and cheaper gyms around so I will not be coming back here.

Offered me a 3 mo membership. Then my info "didn't appear" in the system. 2,5 months of explaining situation EACH time I went. Total time wasted: 4 days of my life explaining. GET A RECEIPT AND A WRITTEN CONTRACT or basically you're screwed.

The girl with dark hair at the reception should take a course of how to deal with the clients or change her job.. never smiling and looking in an arrogant way. They are charging me more than they told me and I am trying to talk with the manager since months and he is never there or is busy. I sent them many emails and they do not reply. Not recommended at all.

I've been going to Holmes Place Neue Welt since moving to Berlin in 2010. Over the years it's come to feel like a second home, and I couldn't imagine a better place to workout. Exceptional facilities (consistently modernized), the best selection of cutting edge classes I've seen offered at any gym, and a friendly and welcoming staff. Perks are the stunning pool and sauna facilities. Finally, the value for your dollar is very high -- a gym like this in the U.S. (where I am from) would be twice as costly. If you're looking for a gym, look no further! Love this place.
