I was informed by German friends that don't expect the good service, but when I get there it was even worse than I thought.

The server was very rude, all the food I order was too salty. All he did when he had time was playing with his watch.

I asked him, do you take credit card, he stared at me and looked upset. Then he asked me to follow him to another register at the back.

The interesting part was the way he asking for the tip. He just said "tip, tip, how much?"

So tourists, please beware, the tip is not necessary. Only if you get good services.

Nice and clean hotel. Good rooms and very nice bathroom with shower. The staff is really friendly and ready to help. They speak perfect English and other languages
Only caveat their double bedroom only have 2 sigle beds that you might join together.

Really enjoyed my time here. Was a trip leader with 20+ high school students. We were welcomed and well-taken care of. The food was delicious and the beer was cold. I recommend this as a stop for any friends who have a few days to spend in Munich. I plan to return (sans teenagers) to enjoy the atmosphere fully.

We had a great experience here. Live music, friendly atmosphere and great beer what else do you need?! The food was delicious and there was a woman walking around selling giant pretzels.

Of course it's a touristy place, but the couple we sat next to were actually locals. They love it there. We all got to practice our foreign language skills. It was awesome! We hung out, ate and drank beer for hours.

The place is huge, with an outdoor seating area if you walk further in. It's all about the atmosphere here though, and it does manage to reproduce some of the Oktoberfest magic. The live music plays regularly, and staff are rather friendly to tourists. You can even get the 1 litre beers here, and the food isn't too bad either. Service is pretty good considering the number of people here. But with that many people, it's easy to see how some people might not enjoy themselves here. Wasn't the case for us though!

    Amazing beer hall!
The atmosphere was great! Everybody was joyful, singing & drinking beer.
The food was delicious even though the place was full. We ordered 'roasted pork' & 'roasted pig knuckle' with 2 large (1L) local beer!
    Totally recommended

My wife and I visited here twice in two days. First night we had a meal with beer, following night just beer.
We were in downstairs dining hall which you don't need to book for. Service is very fast, all the staff are friendly and good at what they do.
We enjoyed our meals, beer, and the experience.

There are lots of tourists here, but it is still a great experience (we visited in December). The warm, bright, and lively atmosphere makes for a comfortable night. The people are friendly because everyone is drinking awesome beer! I was not a fan of the food, so I would recommend eating somewhere else, but coming here after for a traditional beer and to hear the band perform the music. It was an overall great experience.

This is a fun place to come for a 'traditional' experience. Waiters don't explain that they only strictly serve their area and therefore we were left (for 20 minutes) wondering why we were being blatantly ignored by everyone we waved over. Food and drinks arrived quickly and were reasonably priced. Band was fun, lots of atmosphere. On a Sunday night, was easy to find space at tables.
