When I book a tour in English, I expect the tour guide to speak English fluently, and it was not the case at all. He was an extremely nice man, but it was very difficult to understand what he was explaining, although he was giving his best
Another thing, the guide spent half the time telling old stories about his personal experience at Airbus. I payed to hear about how the factory works, how it is structured and the processes to build a plane. But the tour was more about taking a walk around the factory with your grandpa
I am sorry for being a bit harsh, again, the guide was very nice, but that was not what I payed for
The factory was amazing, the tour was very dissapointing.
Tourist trap !

Great Tour of the Airbus Plant
This is a must have experience during your stay in Hamburg. See Belugas taking off and A380 being born
We used Globetrotter for the Airbus Factory Tour as they're the authorised company to do so. Our English speaking tour took us from the meeting point in their office by coach and foot around the vast site. We were issued headsets so we could clearly hear the guide amidst the noise of the various buildings. The amount of access to the factory floor is astonishing and our day included the assembly floor of the baby-Bus line, the hydraulic test hanger, the A380 fuselage construction hanger (where large sections were being moved and positioned within metres from where we were walking around) and the A380 final fit-out hanger where, despite us being 5 floors up from ground level and overlooking the aircraft, the enormous aircraft still towered above us! Expect a lot of walking, about 3-4km during the two hour tour. There's regular toilet breaks but food is unavailable during the visit. Photography is not permitted anywhere so capture the sights with your mind! Overall, a very organised and informative tour and reasonably priced.
