The city is wonderful. It's this amazing place. At every corner a new discovery.
It is nice to visit this, the outside and the inside are both very lovely. Also it is one of the most important buildings in Munich with a rich history, which makes it worth to visit and learn more about it.
If you are in Munich - definitely pay the few Euros per person to walk to the top of the dome. It gives you an excellent view of the city, especially in the late afternoon.
The two unique onion domes of this cathedral are a symbol of the city of Munich. The building is bustling with tourists, and is currently undergoing renovations outdoors.
Inside the church is sparingly decorated, with the gothic arches soaring to the heavens. From the vestibule, only the stained glass behind the altar is visible, since the pillars obscure the other windows. There is a "devil's footprint" in one of the floor tiles here.
The crypt houses some members of the Wittelsbach family.
Try to enjoy some serenity here, and realize that the building was spared being bombed, since the pilots used it as a marker.
Simple yet pretty. I found the glass work to be quite different from other churches I have visited in Europe, which was interesting. It's worth a visit if you are close by.
Beautiful Catherdral. Suggest to go early before it gets overtaken by tourists.
Breathtaking calmness. Unfortunately it's always being renovated.
Very impressive restoration done to this Beautiful Church, taking into consideration the it was bombed in 1945. We love to visit all Cathedrals & Church buildings throughout Europe as they are always very impressive, beautiful and most times steeped in history! At-least I discovered something at this church? "I'm not the Devil or I'm not related to Him as my foot print does not match with His!! Hahahahahaha!!.This entire area in and around Marienplatz is worth a visit and explore-able and very enjoyable!!! Awesome! Awesome!
A pretty and light-filled church, somewhat different from others as it's made from brick.
Built in 20 years. They said it was built with the help of the devil and his foot print is near the main entrance. Very nice and simple inside. The towers were not bombed and were used as a reference point for the pilots.
