Sehr gut. Freundliches Personal. Essen sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Atmosphäre wunderbar. Bin dort Gast schon seit zig Jahren, und gehe immer wieder gerne hin. War auch noch nie enttäuscht.

Schönes Ambiente. Leider sind die Stühle etwas unbequem.
Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Suppen waren gut und etwas ungewöhnlich. Das Rumpsteak war medium und zart. Sehr gut. Die Schweinerückensteaks waren etwas gross und die leider deutlich härter. Beilagen waren etwas mager. Alles in allem aber gut und nicht zu wenig.
Ein anderer Tisch bekam das falsche Essen und das Restaurant war noch nicht voll.
Einige der Mitarbeiter sollten darauf achten ihren Unmut nicht den Gästern zu zeigen. Egal ob berechtigt oder nicht. Das kann man erwarten. Andere waren dagegen freundlich und aufmerksam.

Very good food and I recommend it. I've had better, but it was still quite annoyance and our party of six had a great time. Excellent selection of German wines, and the staff was wonderful.

Whether the wonderful story that Faust died here is true or not: the Löwen is a fine and atmospheric hotel, where guests are treated to an excellent breakfast. The rooms are immaculately clean, and the staff are happy to oblige customers with special needs. To those wishing to have lunch or dinner, I can also recommend the chef, whose menus - reasonably priced - are designed to cater to people with plain and very refined tastes alike.

Another plus of the Löwen is its location in the very centre of Staufen, which allows for nice strolls, be it after breakfast, before dinner or even late at night. There are plenty of cafés and shops which may tempt guests to prolong their stay.
