This place is great. The selection of bikes is really outstanding. We have purchased three bikes here because the prices are good, there are many bikes to choose from, and the sales staff is helpful. I would give this place five stars but my only critique is that you don't get the knowledge and expertise here that you might get from a small local bike shop with a smaller selection. The sales staff is somewhat knowledgeable but you just don't get all of that next level support. I personally do a ton of my own research so I can live without it but some might find it troubling. All in all, we continue coming back and recommending this store to all of our friends.

Cube SL road bike bought online. 7 weeks later the krank arm came off. zero customer service from these guys - avoidance, non response, excuses and finally blame on me. hope my lawyers put them through the wringer. save yourself the trouble though and avoid at all costs!

Freundlich und zuvorkommender Service. Auch wenn ich mein e-MTB woanders gekauft habe, dies aber auch Gründen der Nähe für Inspektionen, so würde ich trotzdem eine Empfehlung aussprechen.

Sehr großes Sortiment. Leider nur bedingt gute und kompetente Beratung. Kauft man nicht sofort und kommt noch mal wieder, kann es sein das, dass "Superrad" auf ein mal doch nicht das ist tolle ist und bekommt auf einmal eine komplett andere Beratung. Da kommt die Frage auf ob die Beratung wirklich auf das Produkt geht oder evtl. nur die Ladenhüter an den man bringen soll. Bin dann lieber für den nächsten Kauf in ein kleineres Fachgeschäft gegangen und bin zu 100% zufrieden. Der vermeidlich angebotene Preis sollte nicht der Ausschlag sein, da man hier ein Produkt kauft das Freude bringen muss und eine Anschaffung für mehrere Jahre ist.

This place has gone downhill. They are stocking more and more of their Carver bikes and always trying to push those over other brands. The sales staff are not very knowledgeable and are more interested in making the sale. Do not trust them. Do your own research and do not listen to what they say. When you need to get your bike serviced, however, it is done competently. I can't complain there.

The staff at this store went above and beyond! My wife and I moved to Mainz from the USA. After one week in Mainz, we went to FahrradXXL Franz to purchase two bike. Neither my wife or I have any experience with bikes. After looking at the thousands of bikes and feeling overwhelmed for about 10 minutes, we were approached by Sascha, who asked us if we needed help. Sascha spoke English very well and explained the difference in bikes. Sascha never pressured us, and he recommended a certain type of bike for our needs (city bike with weekend trips). Sascha gave us more time on our own to look around and test the bikes. He told us to get him when we were ready or if we had questions. The bike my wife wanted was in stock. However, they did not have the size bike that I wanted. Sascha called another store and requested two of the same bike in different sizes and told us that we could come back in two days to test the bike and see if I wanted it. My wife put a small deposit toward the cost to hold her bike. Sascha gave me his card and told us to call in 2 days. When we called, the bike was ready, so we went back to test it. You can ride all of the bikes inside the store on a track. Sascha was in a meeting when we went back the second time, but we were helped by Christoph, who was told that we were coming, and he also spoke English. Christoph helped adjust the bike and helped us pick an appropriate lock and basket. I will definitely go back here for parts and maintenance. My wife and I bought "less expensive" bikes. We were never pressured to get something that we didn't want. The staff spent a lot of time explaining everything. This is the perfect store!
