Every room is unique at this hotel, and so are the apartments that they have available. I received a tour of two rooms and two apartments before I began my stay. The staff were helpful, and tried very hard to assist in any way they could. Most of them speak English well, and were interesting to talk to.

This is one of the nicest small hotels that I have ever stayed in.
The quality of the rooms is comfortable European standard, everything is neat and clean.
The in-house restaurant is excellent and serves at regular mealtimes.
The daily breakfast buffet is highly recommended.
The location is a plus, just outside of the ring-road. It is a short drive to the A9 and an easy walk to the old city center.
Parking is on-site, free and easy to get into and out of.
Old city walking maps are free, available at the front desk.
There is a convienence store / gas station across the street,(Shell) and they take all major credit cards.
Covered bus stops for both into and out of town, are just steps away. Ask at the desk for a discounted guest's pass.
The best feature of the Donau is the staff and the friendly, personal service.
The people are what make this hotel an excellent place to stay.
