The food is not homemade like they say. They said fresh and it’s frozen. Bad service and not kind.
I don’t recomind!
Nice tapas I took the sardinas, bony but great. The tapas on average are good. Except the aioli is just Kraft mayonnaise with garlic. I prefer "Mar y Sol"'s aioli.
It is better to arrive by 17h. By 19h30 the place is already crowded and you have to fight to get servers attention.
Nice atmosphere, and relatively cosy with friendly service, food was fine but in all frankness pretty average and nothing special to write home about compared to other decent Spanish restaurants.
The Jamon de Iberico Bellota is cut wafer thin more like Serrano or Parma ham, than the usual thicker but smaller more moist pieces you would expect. So it was served in volume of thin slices over thick more quality hand-carved pieces here - yet still rather expensive. so that dish disappointed.
Also word of advice - if you choose to sit indoors, as I did (given it was raining outside and a little cooler) - avoid sitting next to the open doors. As appealing as it seems - on a couple of occasions smokers sat directly outside, not far from me and were completely inconsiderate and oblivious to their strong cigarette smoke wafting directly over me at my 'indoor' seat, to a point it was uncomfortable and irritating.
Firstly, it needs to be mentioned that we were a group of ten, which is usually a challenge in restaurants. They still managed to serve us all dishes at the same time, which is commendable.
The tapas are alright, but not great. The calamari rings on the other hand, are quite salty, I really can't recommend them.
It's takes at least 45 minutes for the paella to be made so it's best to order it early, otherwise you'll grow hungry between tapas and main dish. The paella is fine, we've all had better and the meat and seafood platters were very dry and not enjoyable.
Maybe it was an especially crowded day (normal Tuesday evening?) but the waiters would often take our orders and then not come back. Or start removing the dishes, leave and then not return for 15+ minutes.
Savignyplatz has too many other interesting place to try out and I will most likely not come back.
Nice tapas. Although there is better food IN Berlin, I always have a great time here somehow!
Best Tapas / Spanish Restaurant in Charlottenburg
Very good tapas restaurant!
Good tapas at reasonable price, friendly staff, relaxing spanish rock music.
The kitchen closes at 23h and bar/restaurant stays open until around 1h.
Tapas and service both very good!! (Much much better than the other tapas restaurants nearby)
Overall food was great. Have had better chorizo and sangria.
