Beautiful forest in the city centre

It's a small forest park not so far from the center. Great for short walks.

This forest park is very scenic and has superbly maintained forest roads (not in winter). Surprisingly it's not too crowded, even not on weekends, neither littered. One small drawback for outsiders. The many tracks and roads are winding in a fairly complicated pattern in the fairly steep sloping terrain. It's not always intuitive where to go to get out of the wood at the intended end (those ends are rather disconnected in the cityscape and in terms of public transport, so you can easily end up with extra half an hour on tram if you get outside where not intended.. ) and there are no direction signs or tourist club marked tracks. Google maps are not much of help here, mapy.cz or a traditional printed hiking map will do the trick :-)

The park/woods is interesting in it's elevation changes. There are very low parts and high parts. For this reason it can be a beatiful and challenging place to run. In it's middle there are stairs leading up to romantic vistas. This is definitely a good place to hang out, chill, walk your dog or hide away with your loved one.
