Not the best place to stay I was dissapointed by the conditions in the hostel after reading positive comments below. Me and my friend visited A1 in February. Unpleasant surprise at the beggining - price was higher than they had presented in e-mail. My room was cold (yeah, winter of the century outside but one glass in the window? c'mon!)and really smelly (my every stuff - backpack, clothes smells badly now). There were also no hangers nor closets. Kitchen was lacking in cutlery and dishes, fridge and microweave unavailable. Toilets were sleazy and lacking in toilet paper. What's more you couldn't contact with anybody from the hostel after 9pm (when reception was closed) Good side was it still occured one of the cheapest in Prague, close to metro station and tram stops (a few min. to city centre) and staff was quite helpfull as well. Neigbourhood is ok, some places to have a beer, cheap Chinese restaurant, you don't have to take off the pijama to go to the groceries store for fresh rolls. All in all consider finding something else, you may pay more but save on transport fees, cooking.

My opinion is fully positive cause the prices are really low and the standard is very good. We liked the hostel a lot, especially the cosy yard and the Sokolovska street with non stop open pubs :)

Very nice and friendly place to stay. The rooms are cheap and the personal very helpful and friendly. The only negative thing was maybe the location, but I liked it here.

I was nicely surprised by this hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable. Family and cosy atmosphere and awesome price for hotel located 15 minutes from Prague Centre. The staff was very friendly too :o).
