Nice place. It's not fancy or anything but what's most important cheep and tidy. Fine for spending weekend/few days.

The receptionist told us to park our car behind the hotel, but did not tell us that there are several burglaries happen peer week. You can spot a lot of shattered car window glas on the ground.
Also the hotel is placed in the junky Distrikt of ostrava.

I rated the hotel average in the nicest sense of average. I stayed in the hotel for a full week. My room was a fairly comfortable (and very clean and actually surprisingly modern looking) and the price definitely wasn't bad. The hotel staff had little trouble with the english language occasionally but also really helpful. The receptionist even printed me a map (google maps, go go) when I asked for the nearest cash machine.

I guess some could argue that the location is a bit dodgy (there are some spectacular looking buildings nearby tho, including a huge cathedral, church whatever). The trams stop right next to the hotel though so that's your ticket to anywhere in Ostrava really.

Despite planning to do so, I didn't actually check out the hotel restaurant so can't comment on that (didn't eat breakfast either).

But all in all, for the price, a hotel I would recommend. Don't let the ghastly looking industrial surroundings fool you, it's quite a nice hotel (particularly for being a two-star hotel in such an area).
