Don’t bother with this one, it’s a tourist trap!
Overpriced drinks, £6+ for a Gin & Tonic, tiny glass full of ice!
They had the balls to charge for “Bread and condiments” that we didn’t have and when I confronted the waiter he said everyone has to pay it, absolute rip off!
Drinks super expensive. Food was not good. Service was poor.
I felt exploited, I didnt enjoy the food or the service but had to pay a tip because its law here or something like that. Tourist area 101, best prices and good can be found outside of the city center
Stopped by the terrace for a late afternoon cocktail and appetizer. They were able to find a table, and provided blankets since it was a bit chilly. Cocktails and the soups were good, service was prompt, and the view was nice, also.
Stayed here for our wedding. They didn't go out of their way at all, everything was a hassle. Staff seem genuinely annoyed to serve guests or help. Stayed here 3 times, definitely won't be back again. Pity, as it's a good location. It's becoming progressively worse over the years. The staff (not all of them) are shockingly rude and arrogant. Also very expensive.
See the other reviews service not bad but food all pre cooked and served only 3 minutes after we ordered too quick for us.
We did get a token so we could use the toilet free.
Not 5 star.
Better service at better prices else where.
Location is however excellent with seating inside and out. Blankets provided when it became cooler in the evening.
We sat outside in the square. The view was amazing with a great view on the astronomical clock. The service was somewhat quick. We got rather traditional dishes (gulash & pork knuckle) but they were not freshly prepared. I guess due to the foot traffic they prepare these items for the outside seating earlier in the day and keep them warm. The taste was good, but the food was just not hot. I had the ice tea to drink which I loved. I think the prices were comparable to other places around the area, but just would have hoped for warm food
Avoid this hotel at all costs. the staff is incredibly rude and overall unfriendly. The location is great, but there are other options in the area. Definitely not a 5-star hotel, and a rip off for the price.
Great roof-top terrace-restaurant. great food and cocktails - and unbeatable view!
IN SUMMARY: overpriced unimpressive dishes, rude and unprofessional service, nice view over Old Town rooftops, not child friendly (no baby changing facilities, unhelpful staff).
LONG STORY: Despite knowing it's a tourist trap, we went for lunch to enjoy the terrace view. At the start we were welcomed by two waiters arguing in front of us about our table - quite rudely and agressively. We waited long for a waiter, we had to ask for menus, we waited long to order (20 min?) because of the computer system failure (fair play, can happen - but how can the waiters not write down the order and put it in the computer later??? We also barely received an apology for that, not mentioning any compensation). The food was generally all right, but not impressive (far away from tasty looking pictures), Ceaser salad is to be avoided, cheap ingredients put together in a cheap way, but fish, pasta and pork dishes were all right, but of course overpriced. We had to ask for the bill two different waiters and wait for 20 minutes till a third one came to charge us 100 EUR for all of the mishap, surprised we did not want to tip. Not again.
Only rooftop view is good. We went to terrace restaurant. The food quality is not that good and it is not worthy. The prices are too high. Even the chicken soup was very oily and the strange ravioli did not look that good. Disappointed
Not a five stars hotel!
Very not accessible hotel in very good location.
One slow elevator for the hotel serving also the upper restaurant.
Each floor has inner staircases which is not comfortable.
The bath in the room had no cover so once we took a shower all the bathroom was wet.
also one morning we didn't had hot water
