Very tipical place in Brno. If you want to enjoy tipical Czech food with a good beer in a reasonable price.This is your place. Staff is very efective and profesional too.

Great food and beer.
Never experienced a place going through such a transformation. From being a smoky place with rudest staff in Brno to smokefree and completely acceptable service. I don't know what they told the staff but it worked, thank you👌

Really bad service during the lunch! The waiter wasn't able neither to speak neither to understand English.
Different menu for the terrace and there weren't neither an information about it! The name of the foods were the same with the ground floor and in the end they brought something totally different. When we complained about it they just said that the terrace has different menu.
No one neither apologized for the long list of mistakes.
We asked for majonese and after 20 minutes of wait for it we asked again.. the waiter replied us that in Czech Republic the majonese is the tatarska(something absolutely wrong..)
We requested for the owner and after that he kidded us, he didn't neither take into consideration what we said! And about the majonese he said that of course they have! So they were just kidding us! The point is that we aren't tourists in that country but we are leaving here now 2 years! So we know what is truth and what is fake! Of course he left without apologizing
I was a usual customer but I felt really disappointed and I will think twice before go there again!response / report this review -

I didn't visit the hotel, just the the bar where they make the beer. It's an amazing place with a good atmosphere, the beer is delicious

I've been visiting Pegas since my freshman years at uni. Every traveller should pop in for a lunch, Gulas or Svickova are highly recommended. And of course go for all the beers. My favourite is "psenicne," I've never been disappointed. This is a must see place, whether you want try the taste of Brno (not staro..). Do not expect a shiny place and fancy music, Pegas is an old school, traditional Czech pub! For ladies, salad might be good option somewhere else do not be ashamed by trying something classic. And staff is super polite!

As a restaurant, nice food, nice beer, nice atmosphere, nice small rooms great for small groups to be rather isolated, not the cheapest but prices are affordable. Wifi available only in some zones, quite a labyrinth, some english-speaking people. Don't forget to book your table well in advance, especially for busy evening days/hours.

Good beer, typical Czech meal If you do not like smoking area do not visit this place before May 2017. After this date, smoking will be prohibited in all restaurants in CR.

Secret Tip in Brno! Excellent restaurants with four amazing custom made beers from their own brewery. It is a delight to enjoy an evening here.
