Quirky little hotel, just far enough out of the centre to be good value
READ BEFORE CHOOSING THIS HOTEL. DO NOT BOOK!
Nightmare from start to the very end. I must say I've never ever experienced the things we had to go through anywhere in the world. I'll try to make it brief.
1. If for some reason you decide to visit this place, don't book the hotel through their webpage. They don't have any secure connection or measurements implemented which will prevent someone from stealing your credit card details. I've notified them about this issue, I doubt they are going to do something about it because they don't understand the root of the problem.
2. We booked the hotel for a "Final price" as described on their webpage and on the confirmation email I got. The sum was proclaimed to include taxes, local tax etc. However we were charged roughly 10% more for no apparent reason. The director of the hotel claimed some exchange rate but that is ridiculous - no mention of any additional rate, the sum was in Euros etc. Pure fraud.
3. Hotel is next to a railway and has thin walls. It's a bit noisy.
4. The interior of the hotel is far away from 4 stars. I would say 2-3 max.
5. The breakfast was dissapointing; coffee was cold, so were eggs, sausages and the variety was lacking.
6. Before booking, we called the reception and asked whether parking is included in the price and if the hotel is animal friendly. Answer was positive so we proceeded to book the hotel. However, on the spot we were told this is not true and what a receptionist may say is not official policy. We refused to pay for parking (we already got extra charges for no reason!) so police was called. The police agreed with us but since there is no proof they said we should pay and seek legal counsel.
7. The owner of the hotel was aggressive, didn't listen to our problems, blamed us for everything (we just literally came in the evening, slept and went away early in the morning) like why didn't we complain about cold breakfast (ignoring the fact we just came straight from breakfast:)) and his friend was filming us when we were departing. He also said we should have gone elsewhere, but of course the hotel has got no return policy.
8. When we asked for a B2B cross country invoice, the staff of the hotel, nor the owner knew that VAT should not be included on the invoice.
9. Wellness was supposed to be included in the deal but needed to be booked well up front, meaning you can't get there in normal hours or at all during your stay.
With regards to the above said, I'm really not surprised airbnb is growing in popularity exponentially. I hope I won't have to deal with such things again.
Very nice hotel, we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was also good.
Amazing place! Design is Perfect, room was really nice, big and comfortable. In the morning breakfast was really tasty! And staff soo helpful. Will come again ;)
Very nice decorated. Clean rooms. Located near to public transport. Good breakfast. I would book it again.
Don't like the style. In a back street, feels unsafe.
Great hotel. The staff are amazing. The guys e en played his guitar for us at 2am to entertain us. Brilliant service!
I didn't stay at the hotel, mind you. But I had the Egyptian massage that they offer here. I liked it very much. It was just perfect 😃 I highly recommend you try it out.
Great place! Good and abundant breakfasts, playable pianos around public areas, staff is kind and always reachable. The owner, Monica, has Italian origins, so I would recommend this hotel especially for Italian tourists
Cheap, breakfast is included. Perfect breakfast. Rooms are big and clean but our bad was a little bit uncomfortable. Lovely stuff. Location is good.
