Food festival. This is the perfect back alley local restaurant with excellent food an wines. They only do a set menu which can feed at least double the people in your party, but it's all very delicious and served with dedication. Absolutely loved it.

A very traditional Cypriot experience. Fixed menu of something like 20 different dishes brought to your table one after the other. Really a lot of food so better go hungry. Some dishes were better than others. The order with which some dishes arrived perplexed me (bulgur should have been served at the beginning of the meal) while some other dishes seemed to work as fillers (a ravioli dish didn't seem very Cypriot). Very friendly servers. The wine recommendation we got was really good. For 21€ per person, I thought the value for money was really good. The bottle of red wine we had was 17€, which I thought was very reasonable too. They bring out dessert and fruit at the end.

After so many years coming to Nicosia, it was the first time that I visited this restaurant. Shame on me. The meze food is great, very big quantity of various plates of starters, main courses and deserts. No need to order something in particular. Everything is included in meze. If you like something you can ask a second round of it, but the chances are very small for this to happen, due to the generous quantities. The service is excellent speaking both Greek and English. Definitely worth visiting. About 30 euro per person including wine and water. Careful: The restaurant is not easy to find if you are not local. Use Google Maps.

Perhaps the oldest and best meze tavern in the old Nicosia within the walls. No menu, just a fixed choice of meat meze. Freshly cooked food in huge portions so better to go extremely hungry. It's a very casual easy going happy tavern. Most recommended if you want to enjoy local food. The only drawback is that lots of food is wasted as quantities are huge and impossible to eat: too much waste.

If you are in Nicosia and want to taste local home made cuisine that's the place to go. I was there with a large group for dinner and it was just amazing. The tasty food, the fast service, the funny service team and cook, the ambiance was just one of the best restaurant experiences. A must if you are in Nicosia

If you want to experience the authentic Cypriot mezes you have to go to Zanettos Taverna. The walls are full with pictures of happy customers, the paintings are reminiscent of a bygone era, the greek music is perfect and the foodoh the foodyou don't know what is coming to the table, omakase style in a Mediterranean island. The freshness, diversity and abundance of dishes put your senses on high alert! The deserts are on the house, dry fruits, halva, fresh fruits as well as a rose water infused creme. We spent an enjoyable dinner, white Cypriot wine and at the end the Commandaria special treat!

even though i wanted to give it a 3 star review but due to the fact that the food is quite good i gave it a 4.
the meze is quite exceptional but very pricey around 20-22 euro per person and as many person sit on the table so many mezedes are served. which i find rather disappointing since most of the plates are not eaten.

Situated in the center of Nicosia, within the iconic Venetian walls, i couldn't think of a better location to house a traditional greek and cypriot meze restaurant.
Amazing amounts of food, endlessly being received by the diner and to a wonderfully high standard. All the food reminds the local of tradition and excites the newcomer. And if you enjoy wine, try their traditional cypriot wine. Dont let it's deliscious texture and rich flavor fool you, its very potent. Enjoy

Typical Cypriot Taverna. Service is not great. And you don't get the feeling that the place is very clean which bothers me a bit when they're serving food. They also do not let you order less than 1 meze per person which ends up being way too much food, even for 4 large men. So in turn, there is a lot of waste.

Typical Tavern with fixed menu

Be prepared for slightly above average, well presented and prepared 'meze' style serving (fixed price-menu per person, the menu/small dishes served in order), that you will not be able to fully consume as it is a substantial amount. Pricewise, and according to the quantity served, I would say it is ok, although I would prefer the option of choosing my own dishes. Good natured owner, and fast moving staff.

This place is simply outstanding offering a seemingly endless array of mezze choices and other traditional small dishes. Don't be fooled by the facade or the location slightly off the main popular Street this place is a must try
