The Malpas has great scenery with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other however that's it there is nothing else around not even a beach. The hotel does run free buses to a beach but there is nothing around the hotel.

We went in may and I'd say the hotel was running at half capacity, there was always a sun bed free at pool which had a very relaxed atmosphere and very helpful pool staff bring you drinks and food.

House keeping were useless and that's if they came. No clean towls, sheets or replacement bathroom bits shower gel etc. Shocking.

There are several restaurants but we dined in the buffet for breakfast and dinner. The food was good changing slightly each day. You have Turkish, Italian, Chinese and British food to choose from.

Entertainment was terrible one lady singing in the buffet was drunk I'm sure it was laughable reminded me of the Phoenix night TV show.

To sum up we enjoyed our week here whoever smalls things let it down and if we return would probably go to the south at least you can fly direct.

Beautiful place to relax by the pool. I'm not really into buffé, however, I think this One was the best one I've ever had!

Nice hotel, nice friendly helpful staff, a lovely indoor pool with sauna Turkish bath, steam room and jacusse, the outside pool as very large interlinking round pools with lots of sun loungers, there is also an attached casino were you can get free food and drinks if you are gambling, the down side is there is no entertain, at in the evening, and the restraunt food very poor not much choice and of poor quality, having said all that we did visit in November, things could be better in summer.

Firstly some positives: We had a nice clean room with balcony, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The outdoor pool is large and well equipped with sun beds and umbrellas.
However there were some real problems: The foremost being the"beach club". It is not a beach and not at all nice. The sea was not clean or safe to swim in. When we went, we left again straight away.
We had half board but ate out most evenings as the food was boring and lacking in any local flavours or variety.
The WiFi was a bit sketchy too. No chance of streaming until the rest of the hotel had gone to bed.

We have just come back from 10 days at the Malpas Hotel, very clean, the staff very helpful, food about the same as most all inclusive hotels. I have never been to a hotel that looks after its cats so well, they all look very well fed and the staff feed them at least twice a day (but they always appreciate a bit more) they do not come into the restaurant/bar, so there is no need to complain just don't sit outside eating. The hotel also get in vets and have the cats neutered, so if you see a cat with a bit of ear missing it is because it has been neutered. You are about twenty min ride from Kyrenia and there is courtesy buses from the hotel. The hotel is in a very peacefull location

Bad hotel, bad attitude. I ordered 5 nights, after 3 nights they told me to evacuate the room and took a ticket from the room and did not let take clothes until the clarification. Muhammad does not know how to talk to people. They did not apologize and did nothing to improve their mood. There is no food for the children at all. Do not recommend the hotel at all.

    Paradise in Cyprus!
The Malpas Hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean & very well maintained. The food doesn't disappoint either. We love this place & will definately come back to the peace & tranquility of this lovely location in Northern Cyprus.

If you expect a 4 star hotel, instead of 5, then you won't be disappointed.
Amazing staff, they were friendly, welcoming & hard working.
Wonderful buffet breakfast and dinner with excellent selection of cold, hot & continental food. However the drinks had to be purchased separately at dinner time, including water!
As this hotel was quite far from the sea (about 20 mins walk through residential roads which weren't very well lit at night), and the beach was even further, it was good to have some Spa facilities in the hotel. The Turkish bath was my favourite, but the water in a jacuzzi was very cold (much colder than the water in a swimming pool!).
The hotel runs a complementary shuttle bus to the sea side a few times a day.
They have open insecure WiFi for everyone to use.
We had a few issues with our door key-cards, as they kept getting locked and required reprogramming a few times during our stay, which was a bit annoying as our shalley was a few minutes away from the main reception.
There were quite a few stray cats around the hotel's outdoor area.
The rooms were nice and clean, but they did not seem to have a policy to protect the environment, as our towels were changed every day, even if we left them hanging on the towel rack.
This place has a huge potential of being amazing, they just need to improve on all those small things and refresh the tired and warn out look.

Had a nice week here, very restful & quiet. All of the staff are very friendly & cannot do enough for you. Food was good too catering for all tastes & nationalities. Never went hungary but they are a little over the top with their sweets as are loaded with sugar so if you have a sugar intolerance or diabetic, forget it!
