Kind People and good medical services
Hi all my experience with the floor 5 surgical dept was nothing more than FANTASTIC when they done a Hernia op the whole male and female nurses were great and showed very great care on everything the top doctors were marvelous and the ladies and the surgeons were brilliant in the THEATER. I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO CYPRUS and wont hear no negative comments about CYPRIOT HEALTHCARE
I had a great experience here when I brought my daughter in with suspected concussion. All of the staff were knowledgable, helpful and polite. I couldn't really tell the difference between this place and an NHS hospital. They rushed us through to a MRI and x-ray scan as we had only 7 hours before we caught our flight back home.
The A&E is busy, with waiting times and rushed as you'd expect from a public hospital but they dealt with it all in a professional manner.
I was dreading coming here after I read all of the other reviews here on Google but was pleasantly surprised.
The worst experience ever. After having hurt my toe and being in severe pain, i decided to go to the hospital. Worst choice ever!!! I waited 3 h and no one came to tell us that the waiting time is 7h. Secondly, people knowing other people working at the hospital, have eadily jumped the queue. When you ask the staff about waiting time, they respond with disrespect and arrogance. Avoid as much as possible. Private is the best!!!
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
I have been one for taking on board constructive criticism and working with it to improve things and I managed to do another spot check at Larnaca genera hospital as feedback is always great especially being part of the EU and knowing my hard earned cash is pumped into organisations like this. Mr hospital Director well done looks like you have managed to get some work done. We no longer have staff sleeping on night shift in the corridors and the 7th floor has changed and is now functioning as a hospital should function with politeness and respect. Mrs Prastitou thank you for identifying the issues of attitude and correcting them and also treating patients and relatives with respect. Goes a long way. Well done guys keep up the good work only niggle is the patients records are still visible and on display to public eyes from outside the hospital. I will be doing regular visits anonymous and updating.
Simply disgusting Mr hospital director I'm searching for something positive about your work please enlighten me. I will be setting up a website for the brilliant doctors of this hospital who have serious attitude and communication issues naming and shaming so whoever has a bad experience please stay tuned to email in. Also please take pictures to send in especially night shift staff who sleep on their camp beds in the corridors. All material will end up in the offices of the EU who play a role in the funding to a point. Writing in to newspapers is a waste of time. Let's stick together and get this corrupt mob on the right track either by retraining or replacing whichever costs less! Just to update everyone we got a call from a rude nurse asking us to take to my mum who has had a stroke her pills. The qualified nurse said over the phone I'm not your receptionist and put the phone down. Stay tuned will get her name and publish it here. Just an update, tried to make an appointment with the hospital director secretary was away and was promised a phone call from them to book in. No phone call all day looks like the issues start from the efficency of the hospital director! Not to mention 2 sheets of patient records thrown on my mum's eating stall that had nothing to do with the department she is in. Guys still waiting for that call from the hospital director for the meeting! Paper towels in the ward empty now day 2. Update! Vegetarian meals for mum consist of meat! They can't even after day 2 get her meals correct! Welcome to the muppett show run by muppetts of Cyprus. Disgusts me to say I'm Greek. Just an update there is a female doctor goes by the name Prastidou who is probably one of if not the rudest person on the 7th floor. This imbecile when asked about what happened to my mother after having flown in from the UK gave me the most immature answer which was "I have already told your sister and I'm not going to tell each of you separately" what a professional answer you stupid woman. It seems your private telephone conversation was of more importance then your care about your patients and their families. You are lucky that you don't work for me because your career would be short lived. It's people like you that give hospitals a bad name. Your staff seem to be covering their faces just in case of infections in your ward however drawing blood from a patient and walking out of the ward down the corridor with the exposed needle seems to be ok. I managed to get my mum out and away from you and your ward who was nearly dead in your care to proper care and she is now on the mend. I guess the village you grew up in and studied taught you all what they knew. Not sure if you did work it out when I did speak to you briefly and sussed you out in the first 5 seconds what you are all about. As the saying goes who's the bigger idiot The village idiot or the one arguing with the village idiot.
So Mr Director any comments you would like to add? How about you Michaela Prastitou? Would you come here if you got sick? Get tied to the bed. Maybe you might like it you rude low life scum bag.
great hospitality
Not organized! At all! We live in 2017 and they give little pieces of paper with a number and people have to guess who is next as there was no indication outside the doctors door to say which number was coming next.
They should invest in getting a little screen that shows the ticket number of the next patient that can enter inside the doctors office. Or even the doctors should come out and say what ticket number is next to avoid confusion.
All the elderly people that were waiting for HOURS had to ask each other who was next and each patient was leaving the doctors office was asked what ticket number they had.
Not many chairs for people to sit, especially elderly people that cannot stand for too many hours. An old dirty couch in a corner that people had difficulty getting up. Horrible!
Absolutely disgusting . Attitude of doctors and nurses very rude and arrogant. Lost my father last year because of these bozos. Sent him home 3 times even though he was unable to breath. There attidue was because he was 87 yrs old he had no right to live any longer. This hospital and its staff are 100 yrs behind. Europeans thats a laugh.
Accueil très moyen pour les étrangers

Absolutely awful. Most of the Dr and nurse attitudes are terrible. Visiting times are a joke no matter what relation you have in there. If you have an appointment don't bank on getting seen anywhere near your time slot. Prepare for people to push in and an argument or 10! Crap and skata
The worst hospital Ive ever been. A very unfriendly old doctor who didnt even want to write down what treatment in hospital I'd got and what illness I had'what do you need that for?' he asked..virtually all staff didn't like it there and the medicine he prescribed wasnt available in their own pharmacy..to be honest I was worrying everything was clean, maybe Im being unfair now but that's my impression.. go to a private hospital if you can afford it.
