Food was great, especially the fish meze which was very fresh. The wine was also very nice. It lacked a general ambiance and there were too many kids and cats (!!!) which was a very big let down for our attempt at a calm meal out on a nice warm evening.

The terrace is wonderful, we spent a good time there. The lamb was spectacular, we loved it. We also ordered vegetables stuffed with meat and were really good too. We didn't liked the Cyprus desert. The service was really nice. I would recommend the place but if you don't want to wait it's better to make a reservation.

Had lunch here last year and thought it was lovely. However went back this year and found the food only passable and overpriced. Kleftico was overcooked and dry.

One of the first local tavernas in Paphos. Absolutely delicious home cooked fresh food! And good attentive staff, without being pushy/intruding. Local wine by the carafe is very enjoyable.. we went there twice during our week long holiday and will definitely go back if back in Paphos!

Meh. Don’t understand the hype. Calamari was chewie and the meatballs were very strongly over seasoned. Bread was fresh, hummus was yummy and the stuffed aubergine was nice. Maybe I didn’t order the right items because I was unimpressed. I’ve enjoyed meals from other restaurants more this holiday.

Thanks to the many locals who recommended this gem of a taverna — an oasis of authentic Cypriot cuisine and hospitality, just off the most touristic part of Paphos! From the food to the service to the cozy ambience, Hondros was so wonderful that I went twice: first for the meat meze (which they were kind enough to make for one), and then for a sampling of other dishes. Everything was made from high-quality ingredients and served with love and pride by the family owners. I left feeling nourished body and soul and only wish I had time to go back a third time. Thanks for everything, Nicholas and family! Keep up your fantastic, hard work -- Cyprus needs more places like Hondros!

The food is recommended by the locals and is not to be taken lightly. This place does super local cypriot dishes and the meat is exquisite we have been coming back every night

We dined here on the last day of our holiday and had the mixed meze. My god it was amazing and only wished that we had tried here earlier. The staff are fantastic and it really is a wonderful place to eat. Will be back here when we return in 2019. Thank you for a lovely experience

Had a lovely meal at the Hondros Taverna. The waiters were very kind and attentive, and were happy to explain anything to us. Particularly the difference between the (traditionally cooked) Souvla and the Kebabs. I had the Stifado which was huge and definitely value for money. Wine was sold by the carafe and was quite cheap. Souvla was cooked in full view under glass and over the charcoal grill. The clay oven was in full view as well, which we thought was great. Very clean and tasteful environment. I would definitely return again.

Nice place, great lamb, fast service, it is a bit close to a main road and to large and have too many guests too close to each other to have a really great atmosphere, but if you want to eat something reliably good for a decent price, this is your place.

Very good atmosphere and very kind service. Although relatively central, certainly NOT a tourist trap. Unfortunately they were out of kleftico, but the lamb chops were also excellent.

Food is amazing as are the staff. Could eat here every night easily. Mixed Meze is a treat. If you are coming to Paphos you MUST eat here!!

Great place with traditional food. Meat Maze is really good. Rated 4 stars only because dishes in Maze were served a bit too fast - one after the other - and there wasn't a lot of information about the dishes from the waitress (maybe I should ask more questions :)).

Don't hesitate to visit this place and enjoy Cyprus cousine.
