Nice large apartments/rooms with high standard. Staff is helpfull and polite. Good food. We had problems with spiders but we were instantly upgraded to suites with no extra charge. Keep in mind that it's always windy and a bit chily at night. This is a good 4-star resort. Recommended!

Forget about classic hotels services ! This is more than one, New Horizons Boa Vista (the new name) is all about experiences. I stay there for 1week and I feel home. A bunch of activities, from tropical spectacles at the theater , catamaran tours (you can find whales), quad excursions, aqua gym, beaches, landscapes...
You just won't have enough time to stay in your room.

The hotel is great and the staff is super friendly (which is known feature from the people from Cabo Verde). The food served has high quality as well. The only detail is the lack of free wi-fi but I guess that it turns out to be a blessing if you intend to rest and enjoy the beach :)

Firstly, I must say that the food at this hotel was exceptional. The choice and quality was without doubt 5 star.
Sadly, I feel, the hotel itself was more like a 3 star. The room was very basic and dated with faded curtains and sparse dated furniture. Only the bedroom was air-conditioned which meant the bathroom felt like a sauna at all times. The fridge in our room didn't work and although I complained, it was never rectified. There was no internet access other than in the reception area which was charged for, as was the safety deposit box and drinking water for our room. Although, it was an all inclusive hotel, a lot of items were not included.
There were not enough sunbeds at the Royal Decameron and if we weren't up by 9am there was not one to be had on the beach, but much earlier if we wanted one by the quiet pool area.
This hotel is predominantly catering for the French, so be warned if you don't speak French as the entertainment is mostly tailored to them. We weren't made aware of this when we booked. The bar staff were mostly quite unfriendly to us too as we didn't speak much French particularly the young girl at the beach bar. She was actually downright rude.....
Public areas need to be air-conditioned as it was unbearably hot and sticky in the restaurants. In our opinion, Thomson need to re rate this hotel 3 star.
