    Pools are not heated. Service not on par with same level of hotels in other places. Food is good quality, noone was sick throughout our 10 day stay.

    We decided to go to this hotel of 4 stars once had a good feedback of family members who are already there had been in previous years. Once they were our 1 vacation, at the end of 3 years, without children, only wanted to rest and relax.
    As soon as we arrived at the hotel at around 1 in the morning, we were informed that there were bungalows available (the room that we booked) and that we were getting a superior room in the building. This room told how "superior", was a banal, with the bath painted white and with ink to jump, port of entry departure and still with bits of soap from previous guests. When i require the room we had paid - although it is supposed to be of inferior quality - there told me, with an arrogance - which came to confirm the almost all employees of 24 (taking a lady very friendly and willing to help) - that the next day we could go to the bungalow.
    In relation to the bungalow, is friendly, simple and with a small balcony which allows you to be at the end of the day sitting reading a book. Nothing great luxuries, but is ideal for a beach hotel.
    Just to emphasize that I had to kill 3 cockroaches (at different times)…but maybe i am demanding more…
    in relation to food, is a large negative point. There is little quantity/quality, there was not a single lunch/dinner (and sometimes breakfast) who had to ask employees for silverware, napkins or cups, because there is too few staff to do the replacement/cleaning of tables. In relation to the replacement of food, is systematic, even when we are trying to serve and take us to the trays from the front. At the end of the week, we were already sick of the food that the hotel offered.
    Prepare yourself for who takes children because the Kids menu only varies between pizza, sausages and sandwiches are mixed. There is much more in this section.
    When we arrived, we are given 2 vouchers for dinner in the Italian restaurant (is the same of snacks in the middle of the morning and afternoon and not expect that will eat something different) and another of Wine Tasting (at the beach bar, because the main restaurant was in the works) - which I would advise the scoring as soon as the 19h, because it is even just tasting, and still have time to go to the buffet to kill the hunger. The tasting menu doesn't have anything different that there (on different days) at the buffet menu.
    On the animation, very rarely saw them during the day and all (yes all) the nights are sessions of dance. From African dances, World dances, Latin dances,… in relation to these sessions give note 10 to the dancers, because I see that they work very hard and enjoy what they are doing. The only issue that i point is that they don't inform the names of dances (or the countries where they originated) before the beginning of each one. But as I said earlier, taking these 50 minutes at night, rarely see the animation during the day.
    Once the airplane to return was only at 23H, it is possible to take advantage of the hotel's services until the time of departure, and despite the check-out be at 12h, provide a courtesy room so that we can take a bath (as were 2 people had a right to 30 minutes).
    In short, this hotel is far from 4 stars that they have, and being a person who already had several offices in it (even in Cape Verde), this was clearly the worst and created a new minimum…
    If I'm going back to Sal: Yes!
    If i'm going back to this hotel: No!
    If I advise people to go to this hotel: I will show them this review and then decide for yourself!
    Unfortunately, it wasn't the vacation that we wanted, and I should like to thank the hotel management, which in the last case, is responsible for all these misfortunes.

    Quite a nice place! My girlfriend and I went on an "All Included" package and we don't regret. It's on the beach, 5min walk from Santa Maria village. The staff is amazing and very welcoming as well as all cape verdians. The only negative aspects are the repetitive food and some roaches that we've found.

    Friendly staff. Clean bungalows. Great variety of food in the all-inclusive restaurant. Wifi is very expensive, but fast if you can afford it. The swimming pool for babies was very cold.

    Very good hotel, in front of the beach, a good open bar with all the drinks you can think of. The three pools are awesome and the staff is very friendly,. Only disappointment is the food, absolutely dull, no flavour at all, with some dodgy looks and tastes sometimes. The buffet never changes and is bad too. The occasional rats on the ceiling and roaming around are not that comforting either Apart from that feel free to go on the open bar, inside the pool and in the middle of the beach.

    Cons:
    * We experienced beach bar closed at 5 pm - it was suppose to be opened till 7 pm
    * bad renewal job in bathroom - paint going off in bathtub
    * I heard room was renewed, but rust down on the floor-frame in the bathroom was not
    * some of a food is not eatable - if you cut fried fish on small pieces you cut fish bones to small pieces too - try to get it out from a meat
    * Don't try goat meat - it is disgusting, stinky and randomly cut.
    * Long lines to the bars - sometimes 20 mins waiting in the line (no stress;). Imagine those people in your favorite bar or club - It would be disaster. I saw they can work faster if supervised on site. But If they don't - bars are understaffed.
    * Broken PS3 and most of the toys in a kids klub

    Pros:
    * delicious food (look out for a traps)
    * beach
    * nice swimming pools
    * beach service (sunbeds and umbrellas)
    * everyday room cleaning
    * nice staff
    * localisation near the beach

    So, There is this little grey and white catboy. He is pretty silly and keeps climbing over the roof of the hotel through the tree growing nearby. Once up, he is unable to get down on his own and needs help. Your help:) He shows his misearble condition by screaming and mewing loudly all the time. It may looks funny, but it is not since he is in a trap and his life seems to be endangered (without food and water). Luckily there is a chance to help him and save his little cat-life:). The staff at the reception has an acces to the roof and can open the hatch and take the cat down (but they need pretty much encouramgement to do so). The cat is friendly and runs towards anyone who shows to save him, so it's not a big problem. We brought him down few times but we're leaving today and therefore we ask anyone with kind heart to help him, if he is stuck again, feed him and give him some water, because he gets dehydraited if left on the roof too long. He will eventually get bored (maybe he won't do it again at all) of climbing or will grown enought to go down on his own, but until this day please don't let him die so stupidly. He is a nice guy after all;)

    The hotel was excellent. Great food, evening entertainment and perfect location.
    The arrival at the airport was a resounding disappointment: over a quarter of the passengers were told (after queuing for ages) that they didn't have a visa. I'd filled in the necessary forms online several months before travel, as had the other passengers. It was a shambles: one person from a party of six was allowed through, as was one person from a married couple. We all were told to queue again and had to pay another 25 Euros each. The other passengers travelling with Thomas Cook had to wait in the transfer coach until everyone had been 'processed'. Everyone had seen the Euros being stuffed casually into a bag and we agreed it was probably a scam. Thomas Cook's representative refunded the money but I was so disappointed that I didn't splash the tourist cash as an act of retaliation.
    There isn't a lot to do or see. My daughter and I did the Island tour - booked with Boris/Union Tours at the end of the beach path at the rear of the hotel. 40 Euros each: watch the kite surfing, walk with (baby lemon) sharks, (2 Euros for shoes) float in a salt water lake in a volcanic crater (5 Euros), see a 'blue eye' bay (3 Euros) , mirage etc plus lunch at about 8 Euros. Avoid the pushy sellers at the Blue Eye who were very rude.
    In conclusion, I would return and would happily stay at the Oasis Belorizonte at a different time of the year to enable me to see other attractions despite the awful mess at the airport.

    Really nice experience overall e got one of the new rooms Everything was neetly clean. The only downside would be the food, which sucks The exception would be the cape verde's night where they serve traditional food!

    This Hotel is excellent for a 4 start rate. Everything from the location (in front of the best and most beautiful beach in the whole Cape Verde islands), alongside with the cleaningness, food variety, the staff, things to do (billiard pool, table football, table tennis, tennis), not to forget the proximity to the village (5 minute walking distance). I only have one negative point about this hotel, which is that I caught some kind of Gastroenteritis and it could only have been from brushing my teeth with the tap water or from eating fruits and salads, I would advise to was your teeth with the bottled water and to avoid uncooked foods.

    Really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is currently been refurbished, and some of the cabins available are a bit dated and tired. We moved to the new rooms and totally enjoyed our stay then. Pool and restaurants are very clean and well maintained.
