Beautiful hotel, very good food and friendly staff. Everything spotless. Evening entertainment not brilliant.
Riu team at pool and beach had lively routines.
Beach had lively sand and free beach bar and games - volleyball and football each day.

Not 5star as advertised, more like 3star. Rooms are very dated and small. Bathroom is open so no privacy. However the pool area is nice, with a lot of sunbeds available. Good food selections with something for everyone.

There is no WiFi in the bedrooms as would of expected. Only available in restaurants,pool and bar area.

Rooms come with no iron and you have to pay 20 euro deposit to hire, they are limited and i couldn't get one whilst i was there.

Don't think i would stay at this hotel again. I normally stay in Riu hotels when on holiday and i think this is the worse one i have stayed in.

Food was disappointing. As a none meat eater it was limited and boring. This hotel does not have its own beach you have to walk passed the sister hotel. Not five star. Drinks poor no fizz. Staff very friendly and the hotel is very clean. Smokers dominate the outdoor areas.

Had a fantastic week here. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was great and hotel clean and well spaced out. Only complaint was the gym was shared by two hotels and not enough equipment. Would really recommend.

We thought it was four star but here it seems to be billed as five stars. Our second time here and probably our final visit; a little disappointing since the split from the 'sister' hotel next door. Def not 5 🌟 struggling to be 4 this time. The good points: spotlessly clean, really good reception staff, mostly friendly bar staff.
The room is disappointing, no sep bathroom, just the loo and shower (both with gaps at the foot of the doors - I find the loo door gap embarrassing and the shower let's water pour out onto floor.
The food quality and cooking has also taken a nosedive.

We wanted a slice of winter sunshine..we where lucky with the weather, although there was always a breeze, but as long as you where in the sunshine it was fine.
The rooms where very clean, the staff where very friendly, and the food was amazing.
The beach was lovely blue sea and white sands and not as crowded as the pool.
Our first time at an all inclusive holiday and we where very impressed with Club Hotel Riu Funana. We would go again in January.Thank you for a relaxing holiday!

I have just come back from Riu Funana, the hotel was great the service fantastic, nothing was to much for the staff , the variety of food was great , lot of choices. Cleanliness always being cleaned , bar service great always with a smile, the reception great , the management always greeting you as you went into the restaurant, the grounds great lots of space, the pools great and the beach.. the animation team always busy . Games to join in with,and a show every night , yes I will be back next year.

Very nice hotel. Excellent service from the staff. All very friendly, helpful and great fun. Entertainment team are very good, brilliant dancing and great acrobatics. Food reasonable, and always fresh and nicely presented. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place. Very quiet. Food great. Staff very nice to.
We have been to numerous all-inclusive places and this is definitely in the top three.
Good value when compared to Spain.
My only gripe is that the wine and beer wasn't that great.
If they improve the wine. ( It was watered down) then it would get 5 stars.
I know they can do it as the Rui one in Mauritius was excellent.

Sold to me and my husband for our honeymoon as 5* platinum and was certainly no more than 3-4*. Brilliant staff but hotel management need to overhaul the place needs updating.and the standards need to be brought up! The rooms were not 5*! Really shame really spoilt our honeymoon

One of the best holidays we have had, the staff were so helpful & all ways happy. The food was excellent & plentiful, we would highly recommend this hotel. The entertainment staff were amazing around pool & also the shows they put on in the evening. We would definitely come back for a relaxing fun filled holiday. Thank you to all the staff. July 2017

We are leaving today and would just like to say , im not easily pleased when it comes to standard of food but we were extremely impressed with the food and service in this hotel. You can't fault the food, it was plentiful, piping hot (hot dishes) and loads of variety. We left empty plates every meal time. Wow! My compliments to the chefs.

We were there for 2weeks over New Year, we were a bit worried due to previous negative posts but we had nothing to worry about, the staff are very friendly and helpful especially Rita in the main lobby bar and Vera in the main buffet restaurant, the food is of a good standard and we always found something to suit, we used the Asian themed restaurant and it is fantastic, the hotel, rooms and grounds are kept to a very high standard, our only gripe was that there is a great entertainment venue directly behind the lobby bar but they never advertise what's on or even that it's there.

Riu standard all inclusive hotel. Several bars, one buffet restaurant and three theme restaurants where you have to reserve for dinner. Two pools, direct sea access (50m walk). The rooms are ok, but i already had higher standards in other Riu hotels (p.e. contains the mini bar only water). Large entertaining program. If you prefer to not take part at the entertainment, it will be respected.

We had read some contrasting reports on the Riu Garopa before we went but on arrival last November any reservations we had were quickly dispelled as the warm welcome by the staff allayed any fears, they were most welcoming and could not do enough for you.The rooms were very spacious and kept very clean and to a high standard, the food was also to a high a quality with plenty of choice for all and the entertainment was very good. The pools were clean and getting a sun lounger was never a problem, the beach was amazing and although the sea can be a bit rough at times the fact that there are life guards keeping watch you feel quite safe. In fact we loved it that much that me and my wife are going back in 6 days time for our 2nd visit and would highly recommend the Riu Garopa to friends and family.
