There are no word to describe the quality of the food and the service in this place. I went there with my cousing and The food is really good. I will Totally recomend it. The manager and the staff super friendly. The best in Havana. Make your reservation ahead of time. DO NOT EAT ANY OTHER RESTAURANT AROUND THEM. YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

One of the best places to eat in Havanna. I particularly enjoyed MJ double chocolate dessert, but the mains were good too. Make sure you book in advance to avoid the tourist traps on the way in. Book as soon as you reach the city to make sure you get a table. Food is reasonably priced, and perfectly acceptable service.

Very much overrated, but ideal for non-Spanish speakers (our waiter spoke the best English we heard on our trip). Reservations were supposedly required, in fact, we tried to make one for 7pm and were told that there was no space, but of course the place was less than half full the entire time we ended up being there (6 to 730). Food was mediocre; we had better Ropa Vieja in two other restaurants in Havana, though the Blue Marlin filet was decent, and prices were also relatively high. The kicker though, was the added 20% tip on top of the 10% service charge. On questioning, the tip was in fact "suggested" and not required, but to a less discerning eye, it would have seemed to be part of the bill proper.

Cuban food is definitely improving, thanks largely in part to places like this. Run the gauntlet of resto touts in the laneway outside, but hold strong: it’s worth it. Ropa Vieja was the best I tried, and comes with rice and black beans. Frozen mojitos were decent too.

Disappointed.. We were gonna go to Cha Cha Cha on Jan.02 but it was closed. This place was our 2nd choice because it was further to go but we were really wanting to try out the food. Since we didn't have a reservation, we got attitude from the Maitre D'.. We offered to wait in case people didn't show up for their reservation but he discouraged us to do so and pushed us back towards the poachers (whom we weren't aware of yet) who serve the restaurants right next door.
We got totally screwed - waited for service, paid way more for the same food as everywhere else, and got charged a Service fee of $7 CUC on top of the pseudo government tax (which we never paid anywhere else in Havana!!!!).response / report this review -

I was actually expecting something a bit better taking into consideration its recommendation in many travel guides.
The food was good, tasty but not different than any other places a bit further from that super touristic area, where it actually costs almost the half as here.

Great food at a great price. Try either of the shredded lamb dishes. The restaurant is most well known for its frozen mojitos but all the cocktails are great and reasonable 3.5cuc.
Reservations are recommended but we managed to get one for the evening when booking at around lunch.response / report this review -

Super casual and definitely gives you that Cuban feel. Honestly, I didn't even know what I ordered. I pretty much asked what was the best dish and they brought our 3 items for us. The beef, a cerviche and some kind of croquette. The prices are kinda of higher than the other restaurants but the quality is amazing!

The restaurant has a nice terrace with just a couple of tables. Indoor tables have A/C and are available by reservation. The food was pretty standard for a private restaurant (Paladar) with several items being out of stock. As a result, we only ordered drinks and appetizers. The waiter was irritated with our small order and took forever, then at the end never came back with our change.

Best food in Cuba. We ate at all the top rated restaurants in Havana. This was not rated #1 but it should have been. The fun outdoor distinctly Havana experience combined with expertly prepared deliciously fresh fish make Dona my favorite. There is a starter of fried eggs and rice, sounds blah, tastes amazing.

Standard Cuban fare, not particularly different from other paladares. Nice outdoor patio down an alleyway, but is shared with several other restaurants. Beware of the numerous handlers trying to lure you to other paladares in the area.
