Anejo Especial is a blend of rums aged for up to five years produced from the fermented molasses of sugar cane harvested by machete wielding guajiros in Cuba. The molasses is combined with yeast and water, distilled using column stills, and aged in white oak barrels with an outrageous Net Profit Margin.

We have been to a lot of museums in Cuba and most of them proved to be disappointing because they did not have as much to see in them, as we expected. The museum of rum, however, was better. There was a tour in English several times a day and we paid for it 7 CUC.
The tour was about 40min long and the young man that was guiding was doing his best But it was visible that he is new on the job and every joke that he said was stolen from someone else. Also, I did not appreciate the fact that for half of tour we had to watch a video instead of walking around in the museum.

Interesting place to see. If you go early enough, you might get a tour.
The biggest downside is that they close at 4 pm
    Make your plans accordingly

Historical, beautiful, informative and we'll maintained. A must see if you travel to Havana. The guide was patient and knew answers to all our questions. There was a small kiosk that sold an orange juice, sugar and rum in a plastic cup at the end of the tour. It was delicious!!

What museum? It's an excuse to sell you more rum, and if you show up and try and find a guide they just ignore you.

An entertaining tour briefly describing the history and production method of rum. Plus a nice little taste at the end

The most unfriendly staff in the town. Helped about nothing, we found our way and bought some expensive rons there. You can find better and friendlier places to shop.

One of the major sights in old Havana. You can do a tour, which takes about half an hour and try the seven year old Havana rum on this tour. It is a nice activity, but not one of the highlights. Our guide at the museum was really good, but I guess for children it is probably not interesting

A nicely done museum in the former headquarters of Havana Club with many old pieces of antique machinery, displays of the different bottling through the history of the company , a large model of the old distillery with model trains and a bar gift shop area.

Tiny museum with nearly nothing to see. Alcohol in the gift shop is the same price as elsewhere in Havana. Save your time and 7 cuc entry fee.

A successful and beautiful tour of the production of rum Havana Club, one of the best rums in the world. Ends with a small tasting.

A huge ripoff. For 7 CUC, I would expect a well-guided tour of a rum production facility. However, this museum only has models of the process. The guide explained nothing- he only translated the distilling terms into 10 different languages. At the end we got to try the 7-year rum, but instead of using the cool fancy glasses on the shelves, they gave us cheap plastic cups. The only thing that was well-done was the film on the history of rum in Cuba.
