My family and I are extremely glad we found Mercedes’ Rent Room. Very clean, family oriented, safe, and excellent customer service. please take note that this is not place to “parrandiar o gozadera” this is run by honest people that provide a “Safe Family Environment” to relax.

Our family was very lucky to find Mercedes’ house. We chose it due to it’s location in a tiny town close to the Varadero airport as well as Playa Coral (Coral Beach) and the Saturno Cave.
We were very pleasantly surprised to find that Mercedes runs the best casa particular that we stayed at in Cuba! Myself, my husband and our 2 teenaged boys stayed in the 2 upstairs rooms. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There was a bathroom upstairs with a HOT shower and fresh clean towels and linens were provided, as well as beach towels. One of the rooms had a fridge in it, stocked with bottled water and pop. We were also able to use the kitchen and living room downstairs. The entire house was spotlessly clean!
Mercedes is a very friendly, attentive and inviting hostess. We felt very welcome and she assisted us with all of our needs and questions.
We stayed 2 nights and would have liked to stay longer. We enjoyed snorkeling at Playa Coral and the cave so much that we went back both days! Both are within walking distance from Mercedes’ house.

Mercedes is a professional, wonderful host with obvious experience in tourism which made our stay very pleasant! She shows genuine interest in her guests and we felt very welcome at all times. She is more interested in doing a good job (and her standards are high) than squeezing the last penny out of your pocket.
The casa was VERY clean, there was (actual!) hot water all day long and the rooms are cosy and inviting. Moreover, the quiet location in Carboneras is very appealing especially with a coral reef and blue hole cave just a few steps away (and the busier Varadero and Mantanzas a few km away if need be). We traveled by bicycle and Mercedes had plenty of room to store our bikes!response / report this review -

Mercedes is a great host and runs a beautiful Casa with perks that are easily underestimated but hard to overstate:
- it is within ridiculously close walking distance from the snorkeling and SCUBA diving beach 'Playa Coral'
- it is also not far from a beautiful cave with a crystal clear water pool for swimming
- the entire place is very clean and comfy with a well-equipped kitchen guests can use
- Mercedes is super nice, helpful, sociable and speaks excellent English
- the guest area includes a quiet, well-kept garden to hang out on sunny afternoons and chat with Mercedes or other travelers staying in one of the other two rooms.response / report this review -

Trato muy familiar y cercano desde que llegamos.La casa esta muy limpia y con todos los servicios necesarios. Ubicado para poder ir andando a playa Coral.Mercedes es una mujer encantadora.Pasamos 2 días estupendos.

Very nice and comfortable place to stay. The house is clean, new and has all you need to have a nice stay. Mercedes is very kind and she speaks English very well. We stayed here for 3 nights and had the feeling we were already family without any obligations. Would go there again if I get a chance to go to Cuba another time.

Nice place to stay. Apartments with all you need ( hot water, air conditioner, towels, kitchen with all you need to make some food) good price, owner, Mercedes, very kind and helpful, also she speaks English( it was our good luck to find someone in Cuba who understand English perfectly!! ) Really recommended.
