Carlos and Caridad are some of the most welcoming and kindest people I have ever met. I have stayed at this bed and breakfast twice and they have treated me like a family member.
Business can be a bit more tricky is Cuba but I have found this family to be very straightforward and honest to deal with.
They are always ready to offer their guests help. They arranged for medical help when I had a tooth problem and allowed me to call internationally when I had a problem with my bank card.
I was visiting Santiago to study guitar styles. They allowed me to use the fantastic roof terrace to take guitar lessons with local teachers and also were very flexible with meal times and arrangements.
Carlos has a lovely daughter called Vanessa who will be only to happy to play with you and makes you feel at home.
The location is good too - it's not right in the centre, which means it's quiet, and it's only a 5 minute walk from the action in the centre. The Casa de las Tradiciones is a 2 minute walk and is considered by many locals as the best authentic music experience (even above the Casa de la Trova). The promenade is also only a 5 minute walk away.
