Very impressed. Has very strong air conditioning. Lines are short, good paintings on the side of the wall. Very kind service.

Not one of my favourite airports - not much in the way of creature comforts and I was detained for around 25 minutes by the security guards on the way out with no explanation of why and then allowed to continue with no comment.

Small but good selection of duty free and souvenir shops and a couple currency exchanges before and after customs. Bring home some Cuban honey from the duty free in departure area - it's outstanding.

The bathrooms and all structure are completely fine. There's no need to use the VIP area unless you really prefer to use it.
The common area got enough chairs, store to buy souvenirs, little restaurant so, the basic that you need
There are 2 gates (gate 1 and gate 2).
The crew were very friendly and helpful.

Super fast check in, you need about an hour before your flight to get through security. In other words, it's pretty fast, you don't need to go through security 3 hrs before your flight unless you see some crazy level of people already inline. Once you go through there is a duty free etc.

We were in the airport coming home from Cuba on January 31, 2015. We found the airport staff to be nice and friendly except for the older woman working the snack counter . miserable woman!
This airport is NON smoking so have your smoke prior to entering. Our flight left at just after midnight but they still had their souvenir shops and snack bars open which was good.
Overall a good experience!
