We got a beautiful charming room, but the view is not very nice and the staff was very hostile at times. We got tricked to take a non recommended cab when going to the airport, by one of the doormen. Breakfast was ok, but please. Don't serve breakfast if you don't put any love to it.

This hotel is fraud. Selling rooms for big money and then room is so small that you cannot open windows. Breakfast was a joke. Avoid it as far as possible. Any house particular will give you more service.

If you're a seasoned traveller and do not mine the surroundings both inside and out you will be fine here, however I would never stay here again or recommend anyone to stay here either. We had no water for most of the day, and when it was on it was a trickle and we were unable to shower or wash properly. The rooms stunk of sewage, the sheets were washed but were stained with all manner of who knows what and finishing off with the most horrendous slum outside your bedroom window with no glass just a shutter. Music is blaring out until the early hours of the morning. I found this place absolutely awful and i ended up sleeping in the hall way for 4 nights. It not worth the money the breakfast is extremely limited all stale bread and stale pastries. The people were nice but the standard was extremely poor and nor worth the price.

Another government hotel, don't follow the bellboy to a restaurant because it's awful. Went to a casa particular next it which was great at a quarter of the price. Breakfast had very old dry bread and no vegetables. The room we first got had mold in it. It is in a great location which is why it gets two stars.

This is a hotel near the National Police Station. It is one of the few places with Wifi in the area so you can vi in and buy a drink and use your wifi card there. They were not overly welcoming at the door but the lady in the gift shop was very charming. I will go back to the gift shop for sure.

Please spare yourself and stay away from this place. I am giving it 1 star only because it's the only way to write a review. It does not deserve one star. I feel it is my duty to warn people not to go to this hotel. Hot water-barely warm. Shower-not working. Elevator--broken. Air conditioner broken, lighting terrible and when available food atrocious

Grand and state run. Kinda pricey but loved the terrace overlooking the Malacan.

I loved the atmosphere. Colonial style. Second floor rooms with big colonial windows. I liked it's close enough to go along to the main streets and far away enough to be quiet
