Great place to hang and talk to locals while sipping on Havana Club rum.

It is really beautiful out here. I went on a day when it was slightly cloudy but nonetheless very nice out. I had a driver drive me around in a classic car has seen in the photo below and was able to sit on the back portion of the car. We picked up snacks all along the Malecon. Also we were able to talk with locals and get a little history of the buildings that we’re there. It’s truly like stepping through a Time Machine when you were here. I had a long conversation with a Cuban there who was telling me about how years ago Elian Gonzale attempted to escape from a certain point to go to Florida.

Definitely go walk along El Malecon. Watch people just chilling and fishing. Kids playing. People swimming. great scenes of the city. Go at evening. Watch the sunset. You'll never be able to convince yourself it was real.

Recomendado por su preciosa vista y su agradable ambiente. Recomiendo caminarlo, son como 5 kilómetros que se caminan fácil, eso sí, hacer el trayecto mejor ya cayendo el sol para evitar el calor. Hay músicos que por un CUC tocan una canción con guitarra y la cantan, para dar más ambiente.
