I had a great time staying with Carlos and his family for amost 3 weeks. The whole family have been very friendly, open and supportive.

I don't even know where to start with this review. I just got home today from Cuba and I cannot express how lucky I was to find this family for my stay. I ventured to Cuba solo and would have been absolutely lost without Carlos, Ilona, Yeni, Lumi and Estephanie. What a beautiful family they are!
Carlos goes to work early in the morning but can and will very easily bring you fresh fruit every morning! His stand is right across the street if you need fresh fruit and vegetables for cooking. He's also able to get meat and fish if you need as well, you just have to ask!
Ilona took me under her wing and treated me just like family! She cooked for me, did my make up for the Discoteka, gave me fashion advice and even helped me practice my Spanish! Yeni was a wonderful host as well, knowing all the best places to go. She even connected me with her friends that spoke English, to give my brain a break.
The house was beautifully renovated with private entrances and all the amenities you could need! The beach is a VERY short walk, with three different beaches available and food and a bar at one. Theres a bus stop directly outside of the house, taxis regularly and Eduardo is very helpful with rides as well, as long as you give him a heads up.
If you want to stay somewhere that gives you a true sense of who the Cuban people are, this is your stop. I will be visiting again VERY soon!response / report this review -

Very nice and clean house, good location on walking distance from a very nice beach (mainly locals). Approx. 10 km from the city center of Havana, with easy access to bus or taxi. We stayed here for 4 nights with two kids of 14 and 16.

Our experience was memorable and amazing. Thank you Carlos and your family for making "tu casa, our casa." Fresh, eggs, organic vegetables, delicious milk all from his farm. The best breakfast I've ever made with nothing but a dash of salt. And I must mention Eduardo our driver that made our tour of Havana extra special. If you want to experience the real Cuba, real people, real culture, and make human connections stay at Casa de Carlos! Can't wait to go back!

The house is perfect to share the time with Cuban people as a family. Their services are the best, Carlos, Lumi, Yeni, the young ladies even the little dog are amazing people. There I enjoy a lot, the beach environment and the natural views are wonderful. I really want to come back again because I felt a lot of safety, comfortable and happiness. All is perfect to me: the prices, services and human quality too. My best regards to the Casa Carlos Santa Fe, I hope to see you as soon as I can.

We stayed at Casa Carlos for 6 nights. The casa is well equipped and tidy. It has even European 220V plugs. We ordered breakfasts from Carlos - everything comes fresh from his farm. Carlos and his wife are very friendly people.
There is shop and pizzeria in front of the house, little beach is just few minutes walk.response / report this review -

Very nice place not so far from Havana. The house was one of the best that we visited in Cuba, comfortable beds, bathroom in line with european standards, well-equipped kitchen.
Señor Carlos is very willing and helpful, he helped us with all things. An important benefit was also fresh fruits and vegetable for breakfasts as well as eggs and milk from his farm.
