Really great staff. Hopped on WiFi no problem, ate a great waffle, and loved it. They have a location on the main road with shakes. Didn’t get one but will be back soon as they looked amazing

Ice coffee was nothing special, the American coffee was good. We did not eat, they have a few nice seats outdoors facing the beach. Friendly staff amd I think I met the owner which was cool. Something tells me the food is real good. It smelled great!

Great waffles bigger than your face - without the typical synthetic taste of those found in American restaurants.
Nice topping options, great coffee and refreshing drinks.
Outdoor seating with a beach view, friendly staff and quick service.

waffle monkey has a really cool vibe. The owner is a really nice dude. He came and had a chat with us for a few minutes. The waffles and frozen juices are amazing. Been there twice already. And probably going one more time before I head home.

This place was very cool. Best waffle I’ve had in a long time, very nice staff, fun and cool theme/atmosphere, got to eat and have coffee at a table overlooking the beach and ocean.. The owner took the time to ask us how it was and chat with us. Loved it.

Fantastic! We found this place on the internet before coming to Tamarindo and after one look at the menu and pictures of the gourmet waffles, we knew we had to give it a try. The owner was friendly and accommodating and attended to our every need (we came right at open due to our excitement). We ordered the big breakfast waffle and the nuts about chocolate, both which were delicious and scrumptious. We left with our bellies full and feeling extremely satisfied. They also have seating on the beach which was a nice touch and a beautiful way to enjoy a breakfast in the morning. Five stars for this gem!

I absolutely loved this place and everything about it. The owner is super nice and will accommodate to every need you have.The owner was there the 2 days I was there as well. I got the fruit of the day waffles both times I was there, one day I got blueberries baked into the waffle and bananas and the next I got strawberries on top so the "fruit of the day" does really change. I would definitely recommend coming here if you are in Tamarindo!

Great waffles, great coffee, and the most friendly staff. The owners are the coolest people and are super helpful if you are looking for information about what to do while in Tamarindo. Waking up to run down and get the waffle monkey (Belgian waffle topped with banana, coconut, and honey) was he best part of my week.

We had the Apple Pie, Chocolaholic, and Big Breakfast. The whole family loved the food. Mine, the Big Breakfast, was one of the best waffles I've eaten. We also had refreshing drinks of strawberry and mango smoothies and apparently the coffee my wife had was good. If you can find a seat outside the beach view is awesome. They had some cool swag as well. We bought 3 t-shirts. IMO, $20 for a tourist shirt on the beach is very reasonable.
