Nice excercising hike, it is a rainforest so it may rain, and it does get muddy boots are recommended, if you have non they do rent them! It is forbidden to swim on the reserve but just one kilometers down the road there is a bridge you can park and swim for free! The water is beautiful and the swim is amazing ! No the water does not irritate your skin

INCORRECT LOCATION. What you are probably looking for is the national park. This takes you down a bad road to a tiny town where you can see the volcano from a distance but there's nothing there. The national park is absolutely worth it though. Just don't get lost because you tried to come to this location like me hahaha. All photos I've posted are from the national park not this location. It's super muddy there so a walking stick and rubber boots are the way to go
