Small mistake, given by an extraordinary situation, created some problems. We solved it together and everything was fine. Kind and helpful stuff, wonderful location, take ur time to enjoy the peace of this place. Recommended!

A great unique lodging experience! Do yourself a favor and rent out the Bird's Nest! You thought your room needed walls? Think again! Management and staff are super friendly.

We do like the place! It is in peaceful area and place is clean. There is beautiful nature around the place and many iguans walks around the property. Atmosphere is welcoming and the owner is helpful and genuine guy, who really listens the guests. We recommend the place! 😊

I recently stayed at Villa Jacquelina for a few days as a "walk-on". No reservation was needed. I paid $35 a day for my room and although breakfast was $6 extra, it was wonderful! Steve, his family and his staff made me feel at home immediately. This place is very simple but super clean, great views of the valley, and just as low-keyed and easy going as you can find anywhere. Whatever you're into, Steve has contacts everywhere in the local area and is well versed in where to go, who to see etc even if it's nothing but relax (that was me) and absorb the sights, sounds, and local culture. A 1 km walk or 850 Colones taxi to town and all sorts of local bar/restaurants for food, drinks, treats, shopping, or entertainment-wise. From the bus station in town it was 310 colones for the bus ride over the mountain to Manuel Antonio beach and National Park. I had an awesome time. I'm going back and recommend staying at Villas Jacquelina to anyone looking for a great experience on the down low.

Steve is a legend! This place is out of town, but worth it, you won't regret staying here. The views are fantastic as is the hospitality.

Great place. Feels like home. Big kitchen where you can cook your own meal. Very close to the National Park and beautiful beaches.

La atención es muy buena, el dueño muy agradable y simpático. Lo único fue un mal entendido con el desayuno, llegamos a una hora y no había nadie, cuando regresamos ya había cerrado la cocina.

My wife and I had such an amazing experience. We stayed in the "Bird's Nest" for a night. Heavy rain and jungle noises really helped to give us the pure experience we were looking for. No need for an AC, the air flowed freely and cooled the open air space. We met awesome people who shared their stories and experiences. That really helped us plan out our days. You can only arrange so much online.

The main part of town is a 10 minute walk from Villas Jacquelina. But, our the owner went out of his way, many times, to give us rides (or arrange rides). Quepos is such an inviting and chill town. It has many little restaurant and has yet to be affected by too much tourism. It is also a scenic bus ride from Manuel Antonio, Uvita, Dominica, etc. You can find your way around safely and easily. There are a few taxis to choose from, but you can mostly walk everywhere.

We would definitely recommend Villas Jacquelina to any of our friends who are looking for a one of a kind Costa Rica experience.

Villas Jacquelina is a little slice of paradise that everyone traveling through Costa RIca must experience! The property is located in the heart of everything Costa Rica has to offer, and the amazing staff at the VIllas was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions about the area and setting us up on amazing tours. The property is spotlessly clean, colorful, modern and updated, and full of the most amazing positive energy spilling out in to the city. The beds are comfortable, the breakfasts are delicious, the famous Costa Rican coffee is plentiful, and I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else! We traveled all throughout Costa Rica and the accomodations at Villas Jacquelina were incomparable, especially in a budget travelers price point. Villas Jacquelina truly provides an unforgettable tropical vacation in paradise that won't be easily forgotten!
