Fantastic trip on MV Argo to Cocos Island. Manuelita and Alcyone favorite dive sites this trip. Wonderful seeing schools upon schools of hammerheads. So majestic. Loved the entire ambiance of the ship. The excellent service with a smile, the amazing food, the crew camaraderie, safety consciousness, skill and love of what they do. These all combined to make this liveaboard one of my top three out of eleven to date. Excellent crew that loves what they do and works with camaraderie and laughter. Outstanding food from a charismatic chef :), Chico. A fantastically entertaining cruise director and dive master, Felipe, who cries for joy underwater due to the profusion and beauty of the sea life (lol), dive master Geovanny, quiet, yet funny and extremely skillful. Quiet but incredibly efficient and helpful waiter / helper, Chako.. the entire team was GREAT. I miss them so much. Great, very well thought out and constructed ship and facilities.
DeepSee: Excellent one of a kind experience. Thrilling deep dive. Very interesting seeing the life at 300 metres deep. Very competent reassuring team of pilots. Saw a prickly shark, scorpion fish, sea stars and several fish. Coral. Amazing. So glad I did the dive once in a lifetime experience.response / report this review -

WoW! What a trip it was!
It all began with the blessed team mate’s divers we had the opportunity to be a part of.
The close encounters with the majestic creatures we love so much, the Sharks, were awesome! We had 7 different species of them during the entire trip. What else could one expect when a large female Tiger Shark comes to say Hi during the 1st check dive in Bahia Chatham…??!
We’d like to thank, personally, each and every one who made this live aboard an unforgettable and brilliant trip:
RUDY – from Fiesta Tours, who picked us at our San Jose hotel and introduced CR in the way to Puntarenas.
MOSQUERA – The Argo’s captain who got us back and forth from Heaven on Earth.
DENIS Q. – The technician that kept all the mechanical systems up and running.
CHICO – The superb chef that prepared us delicious meals and snacks.
GUSTAVO – Chico’s sous chef, completing the A-Team of the galley.
CHAKO – The one and only! linking between us and the A-Team’s delicacies, the person to ask for all our daily little things and run jokes with.
ROY MORA – The skiff driver that made us smile even wider with his laughter and humor.
FELIPE – The trip director & Blue team DM, who knew by coincidence to have the guest’s attention at all times.
BRAYAN – Yellow team DM that changed his color to Blue for more Tiger Sharks action…
FEDERICO – The skiff driver that took us to the best Shark encounters we had and part of the Deep-See team.
DAVID & ROY KIMHI – The Deep-See submarine pilots, that we could chat with in Hebrew during the crossings and in between the incredible dives.
GEOVANI – DM from the Sea Hunter vessel that came in time of need and was also our guide in the land hike on Cocos island.
GalMar dock staff in Puntarenas – We don’t know you personally, but your vital work in the background had a direct impact on the facility enjoyment we’ve experienced during the entire trip.
LISA – Last but certainly not least, the back-office person, along with the other back-office staff and the link to our love ones during the trip.

I have been with undersea hunter group twice in COCOS Island. This is a wonderful place that I definitely recommend to visit, the dives are very safe, the sea life is wonderful and the landscape of the island make this place a completely paradise on earth.
In terms of the service, I only have good comments, the ship facilities, the crew friendliness, how the dives are planned to meet all safety requirements and have the best and greatest dive experience ever. From the moment you book your trip till you reach the island and come back to the shore, the entire undersea hunter members make you fill incredible with all the passion, preparation and logistics to facilitate this wonderful experience.
I would definitely come back to COCOS Island not one but as many times as possible and without any doubt and hesitation I will do it with Undersea Hunter Group.response / report this review -

Now I Understand
This was my first trip to Isla del Cocos and I was not disappointed! I must admit I was a tad skeptical as to why so many of my friends had traveled there multiple times, enduring a long crossing and water temps requiring a 5 or 7 ml wetsuit. The Sea Hunter is a beautiful; extremely well run boat. The crew was top-notch and worked very hard to ensure the guests had a comfortable and memorable experience. Hammerheads, Tiger Sharks and Whale Sharks made appearances multiple times. Now I understand..and I will be back. Thank you!

The First Class Experience of a Lifetime.
Cocos Island may very well be the best big animal dive destination on Earth. The remote location of the island in the migration pattern of the Galapagos, coupled with the perfect storm of deep-to-shallow volcanic atoll and nutrient rich currents makes this the place to see large pelagic travelers.
The crew, every single one of them, understands service. The dive guides know how to put you in the middle of the action and their cool competence inspires confidence - an important thing when diving with sharks. Seriously, every detail of this live-aboard operation has been tweaked to provide a level of transparent and friendly service normally only found in fine exclusive hotels.
Amazing in every way!

The Undersea Hunter is the best diving liveaboard experience on the planet. Period. Their professional staff, incredible facilities and world-class diving is unparalleled. If you're a serious diver and you love sharks, this trip needs to be on your bucket list.
