BE CAREFUL, DISHONNEST OWNERS!
We booked a room via booking, thinking we would have a room with balcony. But, for the price of a luxury hotel (280 USD per night), we had a very simple room, with a really tiny bathroom, and above all no balcony at all. The owners didn't want to hear anything about that, and were really contemptuous when we brought their attention on it.
But if only it was the only problem
- Toilets were leaking: horrible smell and sensations in a so-called luxury room, what else?
- Cleaning was not done one day because according to them they had only one key and we had itReally? Can you imagine that, moreover when toilet paper has to be thrown into the bin (and not in the toilets) ?!
- And that's where draws the line: they told us they would call us to make a discount the last day, but did not, and took the credit card number of my friend to pay the full price, without asking or sending any bill/call/message. That's pure theft.response / report this review -

An amazing place! Beautiful views surround the pool, restaurant and bar. Delicious food and cocktails. Such friendly and helpful staff!

As a chef I am constantly traveling the world cooking gourmet meals everywhere. Recently I had the experience of staying with my wife at the Tierra Magnifica for about a week. When visiting a third world country you pre-plan that the quality level will be very low, well was I wrong. Every detail from the chocolates on our beds to chef Wagner sitting with us and taking our personal food orders. The hotel was spotless, views break taking, service impeccable, cuisine outstanding and the activities priceless. We strongly recommend the Tierra Magnifica to any and all travelers to Costa Rica.

My daughter and I spent two idyllic nights at Tierra Magnifica in late January 2018. Our room was comfortable in every way with the most magnificent view across the valley and down to the beach, monkeys in the trees, soaring hawks at eye level. . . . Even the shower had a fantastic outlook. The food was excellent. The staff were attentive in every way without being in the least bit obtrusive. We look forward to returning.

Tierra Magnifica is an absolute delight. Incredible views of ocean and surrounding nature. Attentive but not irritating service. And amazing food at every meal. If you want to quietly experience a beautiful unspoiled corner of Costa Rica and be pampered just right you should visit Steve and Erica at Tierra Magnifica.

Loved this place. Attended a wedding here in Nov. 2014 and we were treated like royalty.The views are amazing and the accomadations are beyond belief. Staff were very friendly and felt like family. Hope to come back in the future.Thanks Steve.

One of the most amazing places I've ever been. They treat you like family there and spoil you! The view is also breath taking. A definite must! (we're going back for the 3rd time this winter).
