This is almost impossible to describe. Nothing I can say will do it justice. Absolutely stunningly beautiful. There is 1 cool pool in the pool area that feels incredible after hours in the springs. Shangri-la is for the hotel guests only. It offers a few cabanas and bar service, but the rest of the Area is equally as beautiful, peaceful and amazing.

Highly recommend getting the Tabacon massage here! It was an out of body experience! I don’t usually do this type of thing, especially for the price but it was soooo worth it! We got massaged with volcanic mud for 90 minutes and they also used essential oils to tantalize the senses. Thank you to Leslie and Priscila for the exceptional experience!

The hot springs after the massage were amazing too of course. The property is gorgeous and the hot springs are the most wperfect temperature! We stayed in for a couple hours

Great facility. Multiple outdoor pools with different temperatures. Beautiful decoration. Separate shower/changing rooms and lockers separated by gender. The dinner buffet offers a generous range of international cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. Open to patrons not staying at the Tabacon Resort. No information about the admission fee and buffet price (entry to the hot springs and buffet dinner was included as part of my trip).

Hot springs are fantastic. Service is exceptional. The restaurant was twice the price it should have been but that is what you pay to eat there.

After activities, this is the best place for relax if you like the hot bath. Hot spring water due to valcano but no sulfuric smell. Good for family, lover and friends.

Visited Costa Rica last year with my friend and one of the top places on my list was Tabacon Hot Springs. After days of white water rafting, hiking, and various activities, we needed a break and this was the perfect place. The hot springs here are absolutely beautiful- they are naturally heated by the Arenal volcano and have soothing minerals in the water. There are various pools and waterfalls of different temperatures and lush greenery everywhere. An extremely romantic place..We easily spent 6+ hours here just relaxing and soaking up the water.
