Nestled in the foothills, immediately East of Mal Pais, I’ve found this charming, quiet, nature paradise, away from HECTIC Santa Teresa. The Star Mountain staff, was VERY courteous and well informed as to local activities and adventures. Complete with a relaxing pool and plenty of local wildlife (birds, monkeys and coatis). This locale is perfect for bird watching and experiencing the vast nature trails, provided. Accommodations are spacious, yet cozy and inviting quiet reflection.

Two hundred plus pristine acres nestled in the jungle of Mal Pais, Star Mountain is a gem among gems. You will be taken care of from the moment you arrive. Clean and safe, you will love it here. So happy I found this tropical getaway. I have had the pleasure of staying here three times and I can't wait to return. Great hikes and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Hit the pool or go horseback riding. Star Mountain has it all.

This is the real deal.. amazing little lodge surrounded by magnificent jungle life. Pia the manager will make you feel at home right away. She is a delightful woman who speaks 5 languages maybe more.. ! Beautiful pool, excellent simple breakfast coffee. We couldn’t get enough of the delicious eggs! Do not miss horse back riding to the beach! What a treat since the stable is right on the property. This place is healing, peaceful and adorable without the crowd of downtown. Planning on returning again and again.

Super cool jungle lodge. Tons of animals on this 220-acre private reserve that backs up to Cabo Blanco. Peace and quiet, great swimming pool and horse tours.
