My wife and I decided to something fun, freeing, and educational for our honeymoon. After searching so many eco/educational resorts, we chose Rancho. We had the time our lives there. Yes, the grounds are incredible. Yes, the experience and knowledge are invaluable. Yes, the food is some best you'll ever eat! But, what really stands out are not only relationships we formed with the other guests, but the ones that were created with the staff. They are truly some of the most daring, loving, and understanding people you could ever meet. Everyone is an open book and willing to share what they know, both technically and virtuously. We can't wait to go back and continue our journey.
Rancho Delicioso is such a beautiful and peaceful place. About 8 months ago I stayed at the tree house which is located inside of Rancho Delicioso and felt in love with the farm. There are yoga retreat, permaculture center, goats, lots of green gardens, bamboo forest and several beautifully designed little buildings and houses. It's also only around 10 min drive to 3 beautiful beaches in Costa Rica; Montezuma, Santa Teresa and Mal Pais. Geoff, the owner, and his wife are so creative and artistic. They built such a gorgeous and loving community and continue to make it even better each time I visit.
My husband and I, spent 7 phenomenal days at Rancho Delicioso! The entire team of volunteers were absolutely amazing. The permaculture program was educational, relaxing, rewarding and inspirational to say the least.
Rancho Delicioso is a stunning farm on the Nicoya peninsula. Its located directly between the two gorgeous beach towns Mal Pais and Montezuma. The folks at Rancho Delicious are dedicated to cultivating a dynamic community of like minded people who treasure the beauty and abundance of this gorgeous planet we all call home!! Go check it out!!
My husband and I went to the permaculture and yoga course for a week in February this year. The teachers were very knowledgeable, accommodation super cool and the vegetarian, farm to table food was incredible! We loved our stay and wished we could stay longer as there was so much more to learn. The farm itself is well established and we can't wait to see how much more it grows in time. The course content was so varied and by having morning and afternoon sessions it felt like we were there a lot longer than a week, as it was jam-packed with juicy information. Highly recommend as an intro in the permaculture world and if you want to spend some time in a beautiful part of the world!
Rancho Delicioso was a dream come true. I learned so much more than I ever expected and connected with people in such an amazing way that I will never forget. I went to bond with my sister and not only did I achieve that, but I learned a lot about a lifestyle that changed me as a person. This place is my home away from home and I would go back in a heart beat. The food is hands down the best food I've ever had, the staff is knowledgeable and upbeat, the property is gorgeous and everyone you meet makes you feel like you're part of the family. If I could give more than five stars, I would!
This place was so AMAZING! Rancho Delicioso is my favorite place on earth! The owner Jeff and his beautiful family are so welcoming and sweet and actually are involved with the course, even giving us aerial silk lessons after back surgery! They even invited us into their home to learn about vegan chocolate making and a kambucha lesson as well. Very good with conversation also, so you feel like you're actually friends. The PYP instructor, Adrianna, was the best teacher and I learned so much (more than just permaculture) from her. She is beautiful inside and out and genuinely cares for the environment and the farm. The farm is beautiful, and the workers are amazingly sweet and helpful if you have questions about your chores, one (Julio I believe was his name) even helped me learn the reasoning behind the feeding process for the goats, showing me how to put a little water into their feed so it doesn't make them sneeze while they eat. He helped me with Spanish and adores the plants and animals. He was a real gem. Oh and Laura Laura, our chef for the week, was so bright and warm and her food was some of the best I've ever had! I'm still trying to make those chorreadas but no success yet. Gracias Laura!! 😊I would recommend this to anyone interested in permaculture or interested in something new. They won't leave you dissatisfied!!
