Easily the most highly recommended eatery by the locals. We ate here almost daily during our stay at Carrillo and were never disappointed by the dishes we tried.
Delicious, inexpensive (almost all plates are under $10!), great selection of food, and again very DELICIOUS! We love their variety of casados and the sopas maricos (seafood soup). The fried whole red snapper is also a local favourite.
It’s located in the corner along a small plaza area, walking distance from Nambuu bungalows. The staff are very friendly and you will often find locals eating here too.
A small place in front of the Plaza! Its a restaurant with local dishes like casados, sea food plates and fast food. I went to lunch twice, I just tried the salads and I loved them
The staff is helpfull and nice!
Very good typical Costa Rican meal. Fish was tasty and my husband liked the chicken. Great service and right across from the soccer field for a fun Saturday night.
Delicious experience of typical Costa Rican cuisine. Very cute and friendly family run business. Lots of tourists and locals eating together. You will not be disappointed.
Food is pretty great. Reasonably priced too.
Food was amazing, very friendly, very affordable !!
We stayed at Nammbu hotel. Soda was a small local restaurant near our hotel. I have to say it was the Best Place I have eaten in my whole trip in costaricca. The whole fried fish and ricewithchicken were fantastic. Definitely worth trying it.
Good food, reasonable price. Nice waitress. Quite and away from the tourist mass in samara
Neat neighborhood eatery. Excellent food and service.
Good food, good prices
Good food, accessible prices.
Food was good, and not to expensive.
Muy rico. This place was delicious, fairly priced, and fast. While some of the other reviewers seemed put off by the half convenience store / half restaurant set up, we enjoyed it. The local/traditional feel and open air seating was much more enjoyable/relaxing to us than a more resort style restaurant. We went for breakfast and enjoyed it so much we came back for dinner the same day. The arroz con pollo and anything carne are not to be missed. And if you like agua fresca, the papaya version was delicious.
Good food, typical rice and beans. This is not your typical restaurant since it more feels like a small grocery store.
Solid food, friendly service. I give it three stars because it is informal dining mixed with a bit of a convenience store, but my group all enjoyed their meal. Salad was fresh, fish was well prepared, pork chop was delicious and prices very reasonable for Costa Rica. I would eagerly say here again.
Fast, friendly and delicious food
